For all of those who frequent PFT 12-24 times a day, we all know of the rise of Mike Florio, from lawyer turned hobbyist to one of the Top 40 most powerful people as rated by SI.
However, we all know that once PFT was bought by NBC, those **** lickers dismantled the always funny section where Taco Bill could showcase his talents.
This post is in honor of Taco Bill.

agree 100%. i liked him more than most of the posts. florio also use to much more of a smart ass back then, expect he was funny then now it seems like he does it for comment posts
Yeah NBC has spoiled me too with the prohockeytalk. I mean I'm sure there are better hockey blogs out there but its RIGHT THERE, and when when I am ultra bored, probasketballtalk.
I don't need to read any baseball blogs because ESPN sucks the nuts of baseball year round anyway.
that would be true if batch wasnt a pittsburgh native, has been promised a job as an assistant QB coach after he retires, runs a pittsburgh charity, had a sister who was killed by a pittsburgh gang.
i dont think anyone could have paid him enough to leave
chaz is a scrub. i was kidding about hartline vs wallace whos stats i like better, obviously wallaces is much better. this argument is almost as 1 sided as best vs spiller. i have a better question, who is nfc top 5 as of right now? i have it like this:
i am also ver biased. i also dont no wat to make of minny, i think they could b #2 in a week or 2 or miss the playoffs. also redskins i think there good, but they lose too many games they should win (texans, rams). i also think if eagles had vick the entire game we woulda won by 20. #justsayin
thats a tough one fish, id have to say that the skins are definitely as good as the eagles right now and some would say better (i mean we did beat you)
id prolly go
saints falcons skins tied with eagles giants
but minny could easily take that 5 spot if they win this week and giants lose to cowboys.
and sorry i just dont believe vick would have been that much of a difference maker in that game, especially when kolb just lit the falcons up.
u could def make the arguement redskins r better, but like i said im biased and the eagles only 2 losses this year is when there qb got hurt in the 1st quarter. i also think its much different being the backup and having to come in midgame vs being the starter the whole week and getting all the reps in practice so i do think vick getting hurt not only effected him but also kolb.
also falcons #2? eagles smoked them, and they should lost to both the 49ers and saints, there good but def not top 2
using tht theory, steelers lost to the ravens, ravens lost to bengals meaning both ravens n bengals r better than. ouch steelers r 3rd in the afc north SLOUCH. point proven
Top 5 NFC 1. NY Giants - Offense is great, sack masters on defense 2. Philadelphia Eagles - Both Kolb and Vick can win games 3. Green Bay Packers - Losses contributed by unfortunate injuries vs Skins & Phins 4. New Orlean Saints - "Just back it up I can't get through its to narrow!" - Drew Brees 5. Atlanta Falcons - Roddy White, I apologize, I called you a bust a few years back
Top 5 AFC 1. Pittsburgh Steelers - Hate to say it, but with Big Ben back, could be NFL's best team 2. NY Jets (****) - 5-1 record vs some very good teams 3. Tennessee Titans - Hope and Griffin are playing like Pro-Bowl safeties again finally 4. Indianapolis Colts - PEYTON MANNING 5. Houston Texans - success depends on Mario Williams and defense
Some AFC South lovin', but they all could end up in playoffs.

now that is some solid anaylsis, see nick it isnt that hard. but danny, we obviously know u are high on the giants since ur entire fantasy roster is made of them, but ur afc top 5 is a little questionable. No Ravens or Pats in the top 5? I understand the colts should be up there, but texans are way too inconsistent and there is no way the titans could beat the ravens IMO. i think the ravens n pats both need to be in the top 4, let alone out of the top 5. also, were do the phins fit in, playoffs?
Fish you miss interpreted my theory a little bit there. I didnt compare 2 teams that have never played before and the steelers wins come over opponents with actual winning records.
Now to my top 5:
NFC Giants - held this posistion yesterday and Im sticking to it. Giants are the most complete team in the NFC. Not a big Eli fan but hes got some great WR and a very good RB. Defensive line has always been good but the Giants are also the #2 defense against the pass. Kenny Phillips was having a pro bowl year last year before he got hurt and him and Antrel Rolle are playing great together this year. Saints - Offense was off to a slow start but theyve really been heating up. The loss to the Cards was a huge red flag but sometimes teams, especially defending Super Bowl champs need a bad loss to get back to being a good team. Eagles - Two very good QBs does not equal one great one. I think losing DJax will hurt them alot he does more than just catch go routes. Love the youth and speed of the Eagles, with the exception of the Jackson injury theyre still pretty healthy and young fast guys tend to get hurt less than veteran bruisers. I do think the Saints would beat the Eagles if they were to play this weekend though. Vikings - Im not buying the slow start. The Chicago Bears arent going to hold onto the division lead much longer and the Vikings are only 2 games out of first place. If they beat the Packers Sunday night they have a great chance of winning the division. The Vikings chances are riding on Brett Favres elbow, but they have so many weapons he doesnt need to put up 400 yards a game. Packers - The losers of Sunday nights game gets dropped out of my top-5 for the Falcons, but the Vikings and Packers are too talented to be out of the top 5 in a weak NFC. Both are more complete teams than the Falcons. The Packers need to find a running game QUICK.
AFC This is where it gets tough. My overall NFL rankings would likely consist of 4 AFC teams and 1 NFC team at most. Steelers - No bias here, the Steelers defense is unbelievable. Lawerence Timmons has become one of the best MLB in the game, and he is the 3rd best LB on the team. Troy P is healthy and Im sure most of you realize how big of an impact he has on the defense. Chaz Batch stepped in admirably while Ben was serving his suspension for being a straigh PIMP, but this is Bens team and he picked up right where he left off last week. Rashard Mendenhall is a top-5 RB, Hines Ward and Heath Miller always get it done and Mike Wallace has to be respected on the deep routes. With the exception of the Browns the Steelers wins come against opponents with a comined record of 11-6 (3 of the losses were to Pitt) and the only loss came on a last second TD against a good team with the 4th string QB. Hard to find a reason not to have the Steelers #1 overall. Jets - Jets are backing up all of the talking they did this past offseason. Revis has had a quiet year but Cromartie has become one of the best CBs in the league. Sanchez is doing his part and LT is playing like its 2005. Gotta love a top-3 defense that starts 2 white safeties right?! (7-9 huh fish?) Pats - It doesnt matter who you surround him with, Tom Brady and Bill Belecheck will find a way to win. TB is the league MVP right now, not for his numbers but for literally being far and away the most valuable player on a 4-1 with so little talent around him. Ravens - As much as I hate them the Ravens are a very good team. Could beat any team in the league on any given sunday. Defense is still good, but the offense has really picked up. I cant understand why people would buy a Joe Flacco, todd heap or TJ Houshmenzadeh jersey. I mean seriously represent someone with some personality. As much as I dislike the 3 players above I am a HUGE ray rice fan and Q is a beast. Ravens will never be out of a game, and in such a good AFC thats all you can ask for. #5 The Colts to me are not only going downhill, they are jumping off a cliff. Any team with Peyton Manning has a chance to win, so they are still a good team, but he can only do so much. Injuries have killed the offense. Wayne and Garcon are great, but I dont think the Colts offense is top-5 as long as Clark/Collie/Addai are out. The loss of Clark will have a huge impact. The Texans have play makers and there defense is getting there, but they always seem to be 1 year away. I will predict they win the AFC South (pending their games against Tenn), but they are certanly not a lock as a top-5 AFC team. The Chiefs are really looking good to me. I know Im going to get a lot of **** for this one but they are 1 blown PI call away from being 4-1 and its no fluke. Like the Eagles they are young, fast and exciting. Glen Dorsey and Tyson Jackson are looking like first round picks and the Chiefs easily had the best draft class of 2010. Arenas and Mccluster are special team beasts Berry and Moeiki are producing too. Charles and Jones are a 2 headed monster. The Chiefs will make the playoffs, and they may be a year away also, but right now they are a top 10 team and I like what Todd Haley is doing.
I'm not arguing the Skins are a contender, but they have played 5 teams that are contenders (Texans, Colts, Eagles, Packers, Indy) and are 4-1 against them. Yes they lost to the rams but by your logic a team can get 1 free pass (Saints/Cardinals).
i think the redskins r decent too, but they got 4 more games vs the giants eagles and cowboys, well see how they do vs them b4 we can tell if there are contenders or pretenders. lets remember the giants were like 6-0 at this point last year n they missed the playoffs. as for my afc team the chiefs, they r definitly contenders for at least the afc west, how can u say they are not? im not sayin the chargers cant come back n win like they always do, but at some point there not gonna b able to dig out of a 4 game hole n come back. the chiefs r a solid team and i think 9-7 or 10-6 is def possible and can def win the division n loss in round 1
the chiefs would be contenders in the NFC but they are in the AFC where the Ravens/Steelers/Texans/Colts will prolly be the wild card teams depending on who wins each division.
san diego would be 6-0 if they didn't blow ass on special teams. they will win that division.

2-4 is one thing but if the chargers fall to 2-5 vs the pats and the ciefs go to 4-2 against the jags its gonna be tough for SD to make a comeback. they do this every year so im not sayin they wont but theyre banged up too.
when your ST gives up TDs every week and give short fields your defense isnt on the field as much and other teams dont need to score as many points or gain as many yards so the defense YPG is a little skewed
ya man and if it is happening every single week it stops becoming a fluke and its apart of the team problems and its gonna keep happening. thts like saying the redskins would b 6-0 if only they could consistently run the ball. but guess wat, they cant and its aproblem. with the chargers they lost a lot of key guys either to injury or hold out, there coaching staff has never been good and now the division is a little tougher and there losing games they should win they lose now. i think it comes down to the end where one of them is 9-7 and the other is 8-8 i just dont no which one is which yet.
haha yeah, AFC is wide open because everyone is good and the NFC is wide open because everyone sucks.
I totally ****ing forgot about the jets, I can see them winning that division, I just went with the pats because how can you count out belichick and brady, you just cant.
i agree their schedule looks cake, but the raiders, rams, chargers, titans, can all beat them, the cardinals/hawks might give them a run for their money too.
forester hating on the cheifs, idk man therea always 1 team who u never saw coming win there division and u pretty much have the same teams from the afc expect maybe the texans as the 6 seed. it doesnt work tht way. im not locking in the cheifs as afc west champs but i this point with there schedule and how the chargers r playing i gotta give the edge to the chiefs.
also, here is simmons giving his best jon gruden impression:
SG: Beve, would you settle for an appearance in the mailbag? First of all, great job by this guy. I thought that was an OUTSTANDING question. I want to talk about Matt Cassel for a second. This guy is an outstanding game manager; the thing I like about this guy is that this guy doesn't do anything he can't do. This guy can move around a little, throw off the run, throw the deep ball ... I'm telling ya, this guy can do a little bit of everything. This guy reminds me a little of a guy I had in Oakland by the name of Rich Gannon. You don't think of this guy as an elite quarterback in the National Football League, but trust me, this guy is an elite quarterback in the National Football League. Maybe the numbers don't reflect it, but this guy gets the job done. Matt Cassel -- I like this guy.
