there are so many things wrong with this thread i dont even know where to start.
1. this song was on the Mixtape About Nothing released August 3 - over 3 months ago 2. you have hated on Wale more than any person i have ever met 3. although this verse/song is HOT, if you would expand you Wale knowledge you would know that its not even in his top-10 hottest songs 4. nobody outside of MD even know who Wale is (right?) so how did you even hear about this song?
its friday so just like kanye im gonna be dropping a new hot song for the week. this week we got...drumroll please.... ANGELINA FROM THE JERSEY SHORE!!!
WHOA. that plus the new kanye cd i just got! how about u put this on a cd, lets call it Fantastic Music I and well bump it all weekend. make it happn' catain

man u really know how to hammer home a point a year and a half later, u no when things are completly changed.
plus, a lot of guys get signed to big labels, lets ee if he can sell more the 25k records on this label b4 we put him up there with the big guys.
btw, why is he swtiching labels, wasnt he with jay-z and the ROC? what happened there, did they release him?
Can someone fill me in on what Nick is "hammering home". This sounds fun.

a year and a half ago me and nick had a minor disagreement of whether or not wale was "big time." i said outside of the DC/baltimore area he is not.
i said he is not on the level of the drakes, lil waynes, kanye. nick said he meant he is big time but not quite on that level of big time so im not sure what he means, i guess he meant that if u have ever heard of some1 that makes him big time. i said i thought he was the next chamillionair, a few nice songs early on but then u never hear of him again. i also used nicks favorite thing, some stats, sayin he only sold like 200k cd which is not much for a "big time" rapper.
since the year and a half old argument anytime wale is in the news nick likes to point it out to think he made his point. but like i said that was a year and a half ago and i think were arguing 2 different "levels of big time."

that was a verrrry watered down explinations of the sitatuon, with some noticalbe bias to sway you toward fishs argument, but the basis is correct. Fish tried to tell me no one outside of DC has ever heard of Wale, and him being my favorite artist, I disagreed. His friend from home was over like the next night and named off like 10 Wale songs. Also, since then fish has been to 2 wale concerts and has become more than a fan, id say more like a fanatic.
I see Fish used HIS favorite thing, arguing one side of the story while his actions stongly enforce the other.
as for the ROC, if you read the article you would know, hes still managed through Roc Nation (one of the biggest labels available) but has teamed up with Rick Ross and P Diddy (aka Bougatti Boys) for form Maybach Music group.
Some footage of the three of them at last weeks Heat game:
I see Fish used HIS favorite thing, arguing one side of the story while his actions stongly enforce the other.
like i said the arguement was A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, things change. AND just because i have an opinion and argue one side doesnt mean im stuck there for the rest of my life, and just because i dont think hes big time also doesnt mean i dont think he is good.
im just going by ur favorite thing, stats, and his album sales definitly dont support ur side. u can continue to use ur argument of asking 5 random ppl and use th1 or 2 ppl who agree with u n think that is a suffient sample size
mixtapes, features on songs like no hands that get radio play, more concerts across the country that get ppl to hear his ****, more magizine coverage, more press, in more blogs, has more articles like the ones you posted, more youtube clips. ur acting hes been hiding since then
and to go by record sales these days is like paying for porn. Why pay when you can get it free? Major record labels (cough interscope) buy more hard copies of albums than fans
then what are u going off of? word of mouth? a biased opinion? my 1 friend from nj? the fact he is switching labels? i bet if u look up every guy signed to that label u wont know a good portion of the names
i know every single one of their names (regardless of their hometown). funny thing is you wont. which was the reason we got in this argument in the first place -- your lack of knowledge
theres 7 guys in the pic and u only named 6. and none of them look anything like john wall unless ur talking about a rapper named john wall and not the bball player
ok i guess Wale was lying when he tweeted that it was john wall. i mean your mark fisher you know everything... what would wale know, hes just IN THE PICTURE
