Oh Dean, you have no idea how hard it is to get people to post picks. Some people, cough cough (Fish), are too scared to post any picks.

ok bitches, im back from this weekend of trying to kill myself with alchol. i am 90% recovered and ready to talk some football. since i spent a lot of $ this past weekend, i need to find a quick and easy way to make some cash, so lets bet on some football games! im not putting any $ on the eagles game cuz i always think they are going to win, plus i will already be completly pissed if they lose so im not trying to lose $ on top of that. i have not seen the spreads yet, but so far im thinking the winners are going to be the ravens, saints and colts. some1 post offical spreads and lets get some thoughts!
I don't know why I feel this, but I feel if we see any upset Wild Card weekend its going to be the Seahawks.
Yes, I know, I'm crazy. Give me a few days, I will retract that comment.

who i hope wins is a differnt story. i know this sounds crazy but i really want the jets and ravens to win so the ratbirds have to come to pittsburgh next weekend. I really dont think the ravens are as good as their recored and if it wasnt for a last minute TD to beat dennis dixon in week 4 the steelers would have swept the series. They almost lost to the bengals last week and limping into Heinz Field sounds like a disaster for bert and co.
the ONLY and i mean ONLY advantage the seahawks have on the saints is that the saints have to travel to the most northwest point of america. that and the seahawks have nothing to lose. still... dont see it happening
I think that the Eagles will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Nick, sorry bud, but I think that the Baltimore Ravens will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Ravens are the only team that can beat the Patriots.

theres no way in hell seattle is beating the saints.
nick, ur betting based on what u wanna see happen not whats realistic.
cheifs r a good running team and the ravens stop the run. as u no ive been on the cheifs bangwagon for 2 years now but i dont see them winning in the playoffs. u talk about the ravens "limping" in the playoffs, umm they won there last 6 of 7 (only loss to the Steelers by 3) beat good teams like NO and the chiefs havent beat a playoffs team other than the seahawks.
the jets-colts game got no me a little nervous, until i remember last year where the colts dominated the jets at home, n i think there finally getting healthy. this game isnt a lock like last year but im also not scared of it. i just hate betting spreads so i need to do some more research on them. i plan on listening to multiple bill simmons podcasts while high the next few days n taking notes.
Fish- umm did you miss the post where I picked the ravens as a LOCK and said i hope they win? I dont really understand ur post i never said the ravens would lose or even that i want them to.
Dan - I am willing to make a very large monetary bet that the ravens will not be in the super bowl. As much as i would love to see and all PA super bowl I am also willing to bet that the Eagles wont make it. Teams learned how to stop vick and if the Vikings can do it in a must win game for the eagles i dont see how they can win 3 in a row. Honestly, i didnt want to say it cause it will ruffle some feathers but id prolly take the Packers this weekend even.
fish colts dominated the jets? are you on crack? what was the score at the half? go look you delusional eagle fan. J E T S to the bankkkkkkkkkkkk +3 and ML
as for the steelers heres how i rank the other teams as threats to them
Pats - Its hard to see anyone beating brady at this point. Hopefully the hard worker woodhead it out for the playoffs with his concussion
Colts - Steelers actually play really well against the colts including "the tackle" in 2006
Ravens - Only because they are division opponents and those games are never easy. Like i said before i really dont see the ravens making much noise in the playoffs. Their saving grace is that carson palmer coulnt hit a wide open receiver from 2 yards, so the ravens avoid the colts
Jets - After watching the first game, im convinced the steelers beat the Jets the second time around, especially with Polamalu in the lineup
well what do you know, my main man John Clayton agrees with me!
Baltimore Ravens: They've got 12 wins and a four-game winning streak entering the postseason, and you still don't feel all that good about these Ravens, do you? Me neither, and I picked them to win it all in the preseason. Baltimore just doesn't seem to have what it takes to put teams away, rarely doing much more on offense than what it takes to win. The Ravens' biggest margin of victory this season against a team that finished with a winning record was its seven-point win over Tampa Bay in late November. Maybe they were saving themselves for the playoffs and are about to play their first complete game this Sunday in Kansas City. Or maybe winning the tough, close ones is who these Ravens really are.
Philadelphia Eagles: Losing two home games at the end of the season, to the so-so Vikings and Cowboys no less, makes me think the Eagles are virtually repeating their late-season disappearance of 2009. A big win over the Giants last December prompted talk of how unstoppable the Eagles were with their big-play weapons, but that was really the high point for Andy Reid's club, rather than the start of something special. Sound familiar? The Eagles have too much boom-bust potential on offense to win consistently in the playoffs, and their defense has been injury-plagued and unimpressive all season
Id like to start being referred to as Adam Schefter again, thanks.
dean, so sorry i forgot that nfl games r 4 quarters and not 2. not at one point did i think the jets were going to beat the colts. now that was last year but other than the steelers i dont think the jets have beaten anyone that good the past 15 weeks. i just think have addiai back makes the colts so much stronger and there gonna be able to beat the jets. def not a lock tho so i dont like betting on it
nick, the packers r the worst possible matchup for the eagles. id rather play atlanta on the road over the packers at home. now im not saying i think the eagles r gonna lose, but playing the packers makes me very nervous.
danny, ravens arent going to the super bowl. i no they play a lot of these teams well, but i dont think they can go to NE or Pitt in round 2 and win, then do it again in the afc championship game. for me its mostly about flacco, i dont think hes good enough to be a super bowl qb, and there pass d is gonna hurt them as well

or maybe the worst. and to Dean - IF the Jets and Steelers play expect a package delivered to your house. Plese send me you address and dont ask whats inside...
while i agree the steelers/eagles would be an amazing super bowl, i think it would be awful for our friendship, one of us will be devestated while the other will be ridicolusly happy and will have that vicotry for life.
me n one of my good boys (giants fan) who i use to argue about the nfl the most with are nowhere near as close as we use to be and i rarly talk to him now and we both feel the giants superbowl victory is the reason. after they won i had no comeback so we just stopped argueing haha. now, i highly doubt we will no longer be friends, but i also dont think it will be a good thing
Nick, the Ravens won the Super Bowl with Trent Dilfer.
Joe Flacco > Trent Dilfer
Who wants to argue that?

danny i have to disagree here. dilfer won with a top 5 defense of all time, thats a fluke not a trend. and that was also 10 years ago, the nfl has changed a lot, u need a good qb to win, and a great qb to win the super bowl
Fish, I agree that the defense from 2001 is twice as good as this years defense. But the offense is three times as good as 2001.

although I am as big a Steelers fan as they come i dont think it would be worth losing one of my best friends over haha well see what happens. Me and danny have watched plenty of Steelers-Phins games together, granted not the super bowl, and they never caused us to do more than get wasted together.
Playoffs are impossible to predict as seen the last couple years. Steelers win it all as a 6 seed, Giants beat undefeated Pats to win, Cards come out of no where to take the Steelers to the wire and the Saints did something pretty amazing last year. In the end no one knows whats gonna happen but either way its 4 of the best weekends of the year!!
nfl games in general are hard to predict, a lot of radom factors happen that u just cant account for.
i think the worst possible thing for me would be a ravens eagles superbowl becuase lauren is a huge ravens fan. i would murder her if the ravens won n she rubbed it in, and i will not be able to brag if the eagles won, which is something i have literlly been waiting my entire life to do.
they just have been talking tough all year about being the best and super bowl champs and now realize they are just a 1 and done playoff team. no better than the seattle seahawks haha
nope didnt shut us up nick. Lunchbox hasnt made it in here yet and there's nothing to shut us up about. We gave you a DIRTY SANCHEZ in your own house. Howd that feel? I cannot wait to do it again
dan can we get your take on what the Dolphins will look like next year?
Will Sporano be back? Who will be the starting QB? Will Ricky AND Ronnie be gone? If so who replaces them? *cough* Mark Ingram *cough* What are you looking for in the draft?
I like Vonte Davis and Cameron Wake alot and it seems like they are transistion on offense so it seems like they will be offense heavy in the offseason this year.
My top players for the steelers to draft, keeping in mind alot can change between now and draft day
1. Patrick Peterson - CB LSU (stretch) 2. Mike Pouncy - OG FLA (Maurkices bro) 3. Jonathan Baldwin - WR PITT (Mike Wallace is a superstar and Eman and Antonio Brown are doing a great job as rookies. With Hines still playing at a high level if we can get a big receiver our WR core will be top 5) 4. Aaron Williams - CB Texas 5. Drake Nevis - NG LSU (Big Snack is getting old) 6. Gabe Carimi - OT Wisc
