nick took the day off today to sip on a bottle of wine n go to bed early with his gf last night, so the smack talk will have to wait until 2mrw.
with that said, i hope either of u dont act like pussy-cats and say things typical answers like "we'll see what happens!" and "i can't wait!" this is for all the marbles.
so dean u gonna make a bold prediction? u a gambling man, in all seriousness, wat percentage do u think the jets have of winning?
it was more towards nick. but anyway, im gonna hop on one of the banwagons in the next few days and im going all out smack talk. idk if i can handle a jets super bowl with u n joe, i will never hear the end of it, but on the reverse end, i do really like rex ryan, LT, and a few other jets while i dont really like any1 on the steelers that much so this is a really tough decision for me. i might have to throw a hundo on the steelers to win just so i have a reason to cheer for them haah
i remember after the jets win this year over steelers at pitt (jets never won a game at pitt b4 this year) rex ryan's post game speech ended with "same old jets, come to pittsburg and get a win." haha lets see if the same old jets can do it again haha
I will provide in depth non-bias analysis before weeks end on this one. I am past the point of hating on the Jets, they are in the Conference Championship, I would just sound foolish trying to talk smack about them.
This is going to be a great game, and I don't have a preference on who wins the game. I hate these teams both equally, so there is no possible way for me to be bias.
I wont make my prediction yet, but here is a little tidbit to leave you all with.
Jets are riding HIGH after two huge wins, Pittsburgh still has to feel like they are the luckiest team in football.
And this is just for Fish, WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS!

the luckiest team is the bears. they got 2 seed cuz philly lost to minny on a tuesday night, which let them have a bye. then NO lost to seattle so they had a home game vs a 7-9 team while the falcons had to face a red hot packers team, and now they got them at home. the best thing the bears got going for them is there ****ty field which will slow down the packers better than most defenses can.

I'm not sure your argument here, your calling them lucky because they had the second best record in the NFC. Then they win their first playoff game by a LANDSLIDE.

You saw that video of Bart Scott getting mad at all the "haters" and "doubters". Well Fish, thats you with the Bears who are in the NFC Championship game after winning their first game after getting a bye. Guess what, thats why they got a bye, because they deserved to be there after their regular season.

1. how are the steelers lucky? they totally outplayed the ravens all game and the only reason it was close was cuz of turnovers.
2. the bears r lucky for multiple reasons and i will list them: -u r right, the bears did have the 2nd best record in the nfc. but it also doesnt hurt when the played 3 3rd string qbs in the 2nd half of the year the year. (miami, lions, vikings). ya they won, but if playing 3rd string qbs isnt luck then idk what is. -the philly snow storm pushed the eagles game back from a prime time sunday night to a tuesday game. pushing it back 2 days allowed AP to get healthy and play (had over 100 yards and a td) and made the crowd dead. it was dead on a tuesday because ppl will get completly ****faced for a prime-time sunday night game when they have off and can tail gate the entire day. more drunk= more rowdy and loud. the espn reporters even noticed it was as dead as they ever heard it there. on a tuesday, there not gonna be so rowdy when they have work all day and go straight to the game. u cannot tell me this didnt matter. if philly won this game, they would have been the 2 seed and the bears would have been the 3 seed n most likely playing the packers in round 1. LUCK: BEARS
-in round 2, the point of being the 1 seed is to play the worst team in round 2. well since it was a fluke year and the seeds were all screwed up, seattle a 7-9 team were the 4th seed, while a red hot 10-6 packers team were the 6th seed. atlanta got stuck with the packers while the bears got seattle. do u really think anybody would chose to play the packers over the seahawks right now? they then won in a landslide (11 points), because they played the worst team to EVER make the playoffs. playing seattle over GB in round 2, LUCK.
like i said, if all of this is not considered luck then idk what your definition is.
so go on, please explain how this isnt luck and how any team had it better?

Fish, all you had to do was beat JOE WEBB and the Vikings. You lost, the Bears didn't. Your calling the team that got the #2 seed and then destroyed their first opponent a lucky team. You sound silly.
Obviously this was a big post for you, TWO edits in one post! Damn son, pick your poison and stick with it.

Fish, I'll leave you with this. Most aren't third string, but their still not the starting QBs.

I more looking forward to bluntonio lighting up on the 50 yard line after the game then shonn greene taking another personal foul in the end zone with rexy running into the end zone with him.
Im also looking forward to the hurricane being thrown into that wager, im sure kearns woudnt mind.
haha ok ok im back. and while i wont spend a whole day arguing who the "luckiest" team is because there is no stat for that and anyone who argues a team is where they are because of luck has no other foot to stand on, the remaining 4 teams deserve to be where theyre at.
The last game was decided by 4 points because of a couple very big plays. 1) The safety when Bruce Arians inexplicable called a shotgun draw on the 2 yard line. If that happens again they will fire Arians on the field and Tomlin will take over play calling in-game. 2) the 4th-1 sanchez ran for. I know you all saw the Sound FX clip where Rex Ryan was sending out the punt team when his players talked him out of it. He punts there its a different game. 3) The Steelers just ran out of time. If they had time to run more than 5 plays on the final drive they find a way to get in. Jets won that game so great job, but this is a playoff game and its 0-0.
as for why the Steelers will win THIS weekend:
- Troy Polamalu. Polamalu didnt play last time these 2 teams met and the Steelers made Mark Sachez look like Mark Brunell in his prime. Sanchez didnt have a great game but he played well enough for his team to win and ran a great bootleg on 4th and 1 to seal the game. With Troy playing the Steelers are an entirely different team. Sanchez has never faced Polamalu and the AFCC game isnt the best time to try to figure him out on the fly.
- Heath Miller. Heath Miller also didnt play in the first matchup. Youre probably saying ohh Heath Miller, big deal. Well yea it is a big deal cause Matt Spaeth had 2 TDs bounce off his hands from the 9 yard line with under 30 seconds to play. Not only does miller catch those passes but he makes bigger plays throughout the whole game.
- Run defense. The Jets ran all over the Pats. Let me make it perfectly clear, THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS WEEK. Find my stats about the Steelers run D prior to the Ravens game then acknowledge that the Ravens had 35 yars rusing and 125 yards total offense.
- Ben Roethlisberger > Mark Sanchez : No matter how you Jets fans slice it you cant deny that Ben is better than Sanchez. Sanchez couldnt have made half the throws Ben did to come back from 14 against the Ravens. A 58 yarders on 3 and 19 with under 2 minutes in a tied game? Cmon now we all know what Sanchez would have done there. Ben has the experiecne (9-2 in the playoffs), has won 2 AFFC games before and oh yea, 2 super bowls.
- Home field advantage. 68,000 Steelers fans dressed in black and gold waving terrible towels singing renegage and black and yellow is a beautiful thing. Trust me I was part of it Saturday. That place was rocking and it played a big part in Flaccos collapse.
- Last week was the Jets super bowl. The Jets wanted to beat the pats more than they wanted to advance to the AFFC game. Ryan used all his time and resources going into that game. Steelers also played saturdays afternoon while the Jets played sunday night, so the Steelers have over 24 hours more time off than the jets.
This game comes down to 2 great defenses. Sanchez just doesnt have what it takes to overcome the Steelers D the way Ben has what it takes to overcome the Jets.
Fish, I'll leave you with this. Most aren't third string, but their still not the starting QBs.

week 7 we didnt play vince young we played kerry collins and week 17 eagles had nothing to play for so we sat every single player. so wow 3 games vs backups while the bears had 4 games vs 3RD STRINGERS (week 5 todd collins, week 11 miami thigpen, week 13 drew stanton, week 15 minny joe webb).
so, once again would u rather have the eagles schedule of 2 games vs backups and 1 vs "huge backup" or the bears with 4 games vs "huge backups"
good point.
also, u are forgeting the week 1 game vs the lions where calvin johnson clearly caught a td to win the game and the refs overturned it with that ridicouls rule
so once again, how are the bears not the luckiest team in the nfl?
was rex ryan limping when he was running down to the endzone or is that just how his fat ass runs? jesus dean was running faster than that after he tore his ACL in flag junior year
haha ok ok im back. and while i wont spend a whole day arguing who the "luckiest" team is because there is no stat for that and anyone who argues a team is where they are because of luck has no other foot to stand on, the remaining 4 teams deserve to be where theyre at.

i really hope u were joking about this, no kidding u can name 3-4 big plays that would change a 4 point game. but guess what, u can say that about any single sporting event in the history of sports! u can even throw fantasy in there. but guess wat, jets won that game and its over, its a new game, and i actually agree with nick and almost evey point for this weeks game. as much as i dont want to see the steelers in the super bowl for the 3rd time in the past few years, i got them over the jets too.
Jared PITTSBURGH -- Mike Wallace has a nickname for Steelers teammates and rookie receivers Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders.
"You saw them with the game on the line; you saw 'Young Money,'" a jubilant Wallace said after Pittsburgh's 31-24 divisional playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens...
From now on I will be referring to the Steelers receiving corps as "Young Money." I suggest you do the same haha
i actually agree with nick and almost evey point for this weeks game. as much as i dont want to see the steelers in the super bowl for the 3rd time in the past few years, i got them over the jets too.
Very smart choice.
Where the hell are dean and joe? Stop avoiding the situation like Rex Ryan when asked about his wifes foot fetish!
nigga i do this thing called sleep. I just woke up and you are out of your fuc king skull to think that the jets have no shot nick. We thrive on the road and jet fans travel well youll be surprised how much green ends up in shi ttisburgh come sunday
never said they didnt have a shot, and 10 points is respectable, but i am very confident in playing the jets with the super bowl on the line. much more confident than i would be playing the pats
the stillers r gonna stop the jets cuz they wont be able to run the ball and there gonna make sanchize try to beat them which he wont be able to do. and dean, i dont think there are gonna be as many jets fans in pittsburg as u think, and even if there are, u really think there gonna be loud enough to effect the game?? please
and i also must say these 4 teams are top 5 defensive units in the nfl. You make it seem like that rapist is gonna march down the field and score at will.
1. Have fun with wallace taking a vacation to revis island
2.Old man hines will be locked up on alCROtraz
3. Shaun Ellis is an angry pot smoking silverback gorrilla who ate tome brady for breakfeast and is now look to **** out big ben
4.David Harris aint lett mendenhall run anywhere and with the help of Bart the Mouth this game is personal.

fish why dont you get nicks d i ck out of your mouth for once. That Pitt o-line is in shambles and rex is gonna unleash hell. As for the run game, one of the best o lines in the game belong to the new york jets children. Brad Smith gonna run the option down you throat while shonn is used as a battering ram to blast through that pu ssy james harrison and casey hampton
dean u make some good points, it almost made me reconsider my steelers pick, until i realized mark sanchez is ur qb and i dont care how good the jets running game is, the steelers run d is better so its gonna come down to sanchez. and right now i dont think he is gonna be good enough and make enough plays on the roads vs that defense to win. i dont think its gonna b a 10 point game like nick does, i think its gonna be 3 or less but i got the stillers
markk sanchez , keeep over looking him like everyone else. When weve needed him most in the clutch this year the dude has come through. Den, Det, Hou,Cle, Indy, NE. Go ahead and say **** teams but im talkin about clutch situational football, the dude thrives on it. If you cant see that then youre out of you mind. BTW nick Doug Brien isnt on the team this time around...
ur right, he has been decent in the clutch, but would i rather go with a 2 time super bowl winner who has a winning percentage of like 75% or a 2nd year guy on the road vs the best defense in football?
as much as i hate to say it, im gonna lean towards the 2 time super bowl winner
revis was covering hines ward last time they played and he held him to 39 yards receiving. thats fine but weve got 3 other receivers and heath miller. i think you are underestimeing Young Money.
Steelers offense isnt built around timing routes and back shoulder throws. it doesnt matter whos open ben will find him. and when ur qb extends plays theres a big difference between bump and run (vs pats) and oh **** where is my guy going next (vs. steelers).
the steelers o-line isnt in shambles. They gave up 3 sacks against the ravens which really isnt a bad stat. Flozel was in and out because of dehydration he will be fine this week and John scott missed time with a stinger. Both guys will be fine this weekend.
these are things non-steeelrs fans point to but they are not as big of issues as people think
maybe you forgot that the jets ran the ball for the most yards against the steelers all year... sanchez isnt gonna have to throw the ball 45 times. if wayne, garcon and tamme didnt do **** as well as the entire pats wr's, what makes u think some punt returner and one catch brown is gonna do anything? a few weeks ago id say heath would kill us but i didnt see the pats 3 headed te monster do dick with eric jawbreaker smith out there crackin skulls.
fish u say u'll go with a 2 time super bowl winner (one not under tomlin).. well jets under rex are in 2 straight afc championships.... where were the steelers in last years playoffs? with santonio, a healthy troy, and not some "dehydrated" penalty machine flozell, how u gonna tell me that fat **** is gonna be ready to go again
pass rush nick? last time we came to heinz field you only sacked the CHIZE once. Get your facts straight before you open your dumb ass mouth. Me and joe are ready to tear that minge n cornhole new daddies kidddd
-- Edited by Sexy Rexy on Tuesday 18th of January 2011 09:44:31 AM
youre in for a rude awakening once you realize the steelers defense is completely different with polamalu. what facts are there to get straight? that they got 1 sack against sanchez last time? i never said they had more i just listed off the reasons the steelers would win this time including that troy p makes the secondary a completely different beast
as for the jets making the AFFC the past 2 years. Well if the colts didnt lay down and play dead you wouldnt have even made the playoffs last year. if you want to say things are differnent once you get it into the playoffs it doenst matter how you got there thats fine but youre proving my point that this will be a completely different game then the regular season matchup.
I guess i got the dumbass mouth when im giving you reasons the steelers will win and all i get in return is a few n bombs and some tired ass nicknames for peoples body types and recreational activities...

this is true... plus i mean paying for sex like mikey does and raping a bitch like little ben is almost like the same thing too.... i guess in Pittsburgh surprise sex is just as good as dating super models like the dirty sanchez does
