Jail? Unnecessary, they should just make him pay for replanting the entire area. That will be a fuÇkin hit in the pocket.

Did you hear when he called into the radio station and admitted to poisoning the trees. It was pretty hilarious.

ya man the guy sound like an old southern physco.  i think he should go to jail, its not like some random tree in the forest, it is an unversity property that holds a ton of tradition.  its worse than destroying a statue. im not saying he should go in for life, but it was a malicious act n i think a year or so is what he deserves....and some mental help.

ya charge him with rape, good one.  i think there should be some middle ground between vandalism and a fine to 15 years in jail.  i think he should get 6months- a year in jail.  we dont live there so its hard to understand what those tress meant to the ppl at auburn since we dont live there but a person cant do destroying and killing university property and a symbol of there school just cuz.  if this guy doesnt face any serious punishment, what kind of message does that send?  any person can come down and destroy whatever they feel like thats gonna piss off a lot of ppl

SO.

You want to waste American tax payer dollars on what is most likely a drunken idiot? Assanine, make him pay for all repairs, place him on probation, and call it a day. Sending him to jail is absurd. DONT WASTE MY TAX DOLLARS

oooo im soooo sorry im wasting precious space by added a new thread to talk about a major national story.  lets focus more on the scouting combine thats a few weeks away.

and i dont think its some drunken idioit who grabbed a bottle of spray paint and went to town, if u heard the radio station he called in an said it was an intentional act.  the **** he used to kill the trees isnt some product u just stumble upon either.

im not acting like i care about the trees, i care more about punishing a guy who does this kind of act.  if plaxico burress can get 2 years for shooting himself i think this guy should get at least a quarter of that sentence for what he did.  and no i dont think my maryland tax dollars r gonna kill me for 1 guy going to an alabama jail

Plaxico shouldn't have gone to jail. Bloomberg had just instituted a new law and a high profile person stumbled into it. He wanted to make an example and plax had to pay the price. NEITHER should face any jail time. Plax got the **** end of the stick, period.

or.

Sentence him to hard labor.

Not only make him pay for replanting, but also make him do all the replanting and landscaping himself.

I like thoughtful punishment.
