No jokes here, just some serious anaylsis and locks.

Round 1:

Packers over Vikings:  Ponder on the road.  enough said

Seattle over Skins:  RG3 still isn't 100% and if any team knows how to stop the spread it is seattle who faces russell wilson in practice every day and has pete carroll who was a former college coach.  close game but seattle wins at the end

Texans over Bengals: Texans haven't looked good latley but the bengals aren't good.  texans are a good home team and will handle the bengals just like they did last year.  marvin lewis has also never won a playoff game as a HC.

Ravens over Colts:  Colts are a nice story, but a rookie qb isnt coming into bmore for ray ray last home game and winning.  the crowd is gonna be loud and luck is turnover prone.  colts oline also inst that good, and neither is their run d.

Round 2:

Atl over Seattle:  Falcons are sick of everyone saying they're overrated and come out hot with everyone picking seattle over them.  seattle is not a good road team going 3-5 and atlanta has handled some good teams at home (broncos, giants, etc). falcons over come their post season struggles and win big.

49ers over packers: Toughest game for me to pick, if i go 11-1 this is the one i will be wrong about.  i think packers can beat any team in the nfc but this is their worst matchup.  they struggle aganist teams with a strong pass rush (see seattle, nyg) so if justin smith is back they are going to be too physical for the packers.  i also dont trust mason crosby at the end of a close playoff game.  49ers close.

Broncos over Texans:  I could see texans winning this as well because denvers 13-3 record is a little overrated with their cupcake schedule (only 2-3 vs playoff teams this year) but denever is playing much better now than earlier in the year and i dont see manning losing this one.

Pats over Ravens:  Ravens are one of the few teams who aren't scared of the pats since they have played them close and even beaten them a few times over the past 4 or 5 years.  but this isnt the same ravens team of old and with the pats rested ravens wont be able to hang.  nick will also finally admit flacco is no longer an elite qb.

Championship

Falcons over 49ers:  I don't see kapernick being able to win this game on the road in a loud dome.  i'll be honest, i think hes good but a little overrated at this point.  other than the pats game he has struggled on the road esp vs seattle and even losing vs the rams. falcons shock the world here.

Pats over Broncos:  Stop me if you heard this before, Brady/Belichick over Manning in a big game.

Super Bowl:

Pats over Falcons:  Pats only lose super bowls to the giants

Round 1:

Packers over Vikings: AP is a god, but unlike Madden this time he won't be able to put the team on his back.

Seattle over Redskins: Because if the Redskins make it out of the first round their fans will officially become the most obnoxious ever. Christ Skins fans act like you've been there before. Also the Seahawks are just a much better team.

Bengals over Texans: What happened to this Texans team? They've looked like complete garbage, I expect the Bengals to steal one from the Texans.

Colts over Ravens: The Ravens really aren't that good, I expect this to devolve into a pure shoot out, and at this point I'll take Luck over Flacco.

Round 2:

Patriots over Colts: They just can't keep up with this freight train.

Broncos over Bengals: See above.

Seahawks over Falcons: Atlanta continues to have trouble winning playoff games and this red hot Seahawks team goes to the NFC Championship.

Packers over 49ers: While the 9ers defense is good, it isn't as dominating as last year. This team can be beat.

Conference Championship

Packers over Seahawks: REVENGE

Broncos over Patriots: This isn't the same Broncos that the Pat's beat down on in week 5. Peyton is on his game and this Patriots secondary is swiss cheese. With a little help from the Broncos D, they make it to the Superbowl.

Superbowl:

Broncos over Packers: This is going to be a fun ass Super Bowl to watch, but in the end Peyton and this Defense will bring Denver back to title town.

this isnt march madness. there is going to be at least 1 conference with a 1 vs 2 if not both.  and please dont give me the falcons are the favorite here, most people have them at 3 or 4 in the nfc.

unlike Fish I think there will be plenty of madnees, just as there is every year.

Round 1:

Packers over Vikings: Went back and forth on this one. The Vikings offense is much better suited for cold weather and AD is on a tear. Packers have injuries and havent looked great this season. Dont be surprised if I text you guys a change in this one before the game starts.

Seattle over Redskins: These are actually my 2 favorite teams in the NFC playoffs this year and its a shame they have to play each other round 1.

Texans over Bengals: I think the Texans put it together one more time at home in the playoffs.

Colts over Ravens: I will never ever ever ever ever ever pick the Ravens to win a game. Even so, Pagano is a bigger return (albeit last week) than Ray Lewis when it comes to results on the field.

Round 2:

Patriots over Texans: Annnd thats the end of that run for the Texans.

Broncos over Colts: Annnnd thats the end of that run for the Colts.

Seahawks over Falcons: No confidence in the Falcons. They should have reseted their starters last week because their own confidence is gone now.

49ers over Packers: This is quickly becoming a rivalry. But not nearly as much as the 9ers next game.

Conference Championship

49ers over Seahawks: This was a rubbermatch this season and the hawks smashed them week 17. Harbaugh will have the 49ers ready this time.

Broncos over Patriots: As much as I want to put any other team here these 2 are far and away the best in the AFC. Go donkeys!

Superbowl:

Broncos over 49ers: "This is going to be a fun ass Super Bowl to watch, but in the end Peyton and this Defense will bring Denver back to title town." - Josh Brandwin

madness simply isnt seeds, and i think my picks r much different than anyone else considering most ppl dont think the falcons have a chance.  me and josh differ on 5 of the exact picks.

last year other than the giants there was exactly 1 lower seed that won, broncos over the steelers.

nick just because the seeds are higher doesnt mean its an upset.  for example, the broncos last year were the 4 seed and the steelers were the 5 seed but nobody expected the broncos to win.

and in my predictions i have the falcons going all the way were most people, including both of you, think the falcons wont win 1 game

i made a critical mistake in my picks that nobody caught.  if texans win as i predicted, they would play the pats instead of the broncos and the ravens would play the broncos.  with that said, i still expect pats n 'cos to both win, but cruical error n my part and i dont want any * when i go 12-0

big weekend.  very exicted to get drunk all day 2mrw for the ravens game and pretty excited for the NFC games, think both are going to be close and could go either way.  very nervous about my 49ers over packers pick in my goal to go 12-0 for the 1st time ever (4-0 if you forgot).  here is my confidence rating for each pick this week:

pats over texans: 90%

broncos over ravens: 85%

falcons over seattle: 65%

49ers over packers: 50.5%

Please see this entry from NFL TALK...

Did anyone else find the Ravens postgame interview to be the most surreal thing ever?

1. Robot Man congratulating the Ravens

2.Ray Lewis hanging on Steve Biscotti's shoulders while Biscotti tenderly stroked his arm.

3.T-Sizzles lips hanging down to his knees

4.Joe Flacco looking like a pedophile at a kids park.

5.Ray Lewis' excessive over acting.

Bizzare.

ya man im not getting what ray lewis is doing.  i never had a problem with him and his over the top antics but this playoffs has been brutal.  between dancing at the end of the colts game and then the praying at midfield at the end of the pats game with a hundred cameras everywhere, he is just going wayyyy too far these playoffs and its getting annoying to all non ravens fans
