great idea for an app that i am not smart enough to make:

create some kind of map for cities which highlights what streets have free parking vs streets with permit parking.  i have lived in Fed for about 4 years now and still have almost no idea where i am allowed to park other than the 2-3 streets near my house.  i would easily pay $0.99 for this and maybe even link it with a GPS to show me how to get to those free parking streets.

why am i coming up with this?  because last night i got home around 930pm from the gym, and what do u know i cant find parking on those 2-3 streets near my house.  i parked illegally for a few hours because I know the parking nazi's don't ticket until like 7am so i then attempted to move my car around midnight.  i always find a spot somehow, usually from people leaving kickball or the bars and opening up a spot for me.  but for some reason, there was not a single open spot avaiable leaving me with 2 choices: 1. parking illegally and taking a $75 fine (I am up to close in $1,000 in fines over the past year and a half) or 2. parking at the shoppers parking lot (which is also illegal but not really enforced) and walking the 1.5-2 miles back to my car.  so i chose to park at shoppers and jog back (not a bad late night work out) however today i then woke up 30 minutes eariler than i normally do (which i rarley do) and looked outside to see it is pouring rain.  so that was my morning, walking 20 minutes in the pouring rain after getting up early all because i have no idea which streets are ok to park on vs what will get me another $75 fine.  now that i think about it, i would easily spend a lot more on that $0.99 app, lets figure this out!
