And an o by the way. i want to go on record and say i think kevin kolb should still be the starter once he is healthy (he wont b week 2, by hopefully by week 3).  there is no way a franchise should give up on its future after 1 half vs the 2nd best d in 2009.  vick might of looked great, and he did, but the packers didnt game plan for him so he gashed them, but he wont b able to do tht week in an out. now if kolb comes back and goes o-3 or 0-4 tht is when u should think about putting vick in and seeing if he got anything left.  but as of now, u dont trade mcnabb for the better future of the franchise, and give up on it like tht. im still a beliver, for now at least haha

Gotta agree with you. Unless its been big Andy's plan all along to put a QB out there that he knows can't win so he can get Vick to start. But then again I also believe in conspiracy theories.

haha ya i dont think andy is tht smart to have tht type of master plan.  i do feel bad for kolb, hes not gonna play this week, n its vs detriot so unless vick sucks hes most likely gonna tear them up. then another easy game on the road vs jacksonville, and if he plays well in tht game week 5 is the next home game vs ummm.... the redskins.  good luck kolb, u got vick breathing down ur neck in the biggest eagles game since the super bowl with the home crowd ready to get ride of u after any play less than a td haha

jets have a lot of talent on paper, tht doesnt always translate into wins.  the team who wins are the ones who r hungry and practice hard every day. the jets are acting like they went 15-1 last year and r shoe-ins and thts not the case. they are not gonna play well, u need a real good qb to win n sanchez is not it. now he is only in his 2nd year so im not gonna act like hes never gonna b good, but not for this year. i think holmes is there best player on o and hes missing a quarter of the season.  there line is good, but not as good as last year cuz they lost faneca and replaced him with a guy who looks like he should b cut.  who cares tht they have 2 good fbs? colts go 13-3 every year n they normally dont keep any. they cut thomas jones who is not only really good, but hes tough as hell n u cant replace tht on the field. i think jason taylor sucks, he hasnt done **** in 3 years n hes been cut by 2 different teams the past 2 years. they lost calvin pace who is really good, plus revis even if he does come back i dont think hes gonna b as good as last year since he is going to b out of shape, and thts even if he comes back. im telling u man, call it a hunch but i got them going 7-9 or 6-10.

I think this post deserves some attention...

haha well u wanted bold.  i underestamated how much players love playing for rex, but all the signs pointed to a disater in the preseason, so i went with a "bold prediction."

Ok, I'll start this game off Fish. Let's all make a total of 5 bold predictions, due before the draft.

I only have two to start, my other 3 will follow soon.

1. 4 QBs will be taken in the first round.
2. Colin Kaepernick will be a first round selection.

thats not a bold prediction there are 10 teams that need QBs!

Heres a bold prediction: Steelers will trade down out of the first round to a team who will select a QB at 31

Nick here is the number of QBs taken in the first round for the past 11 years:

2010 - 2
2009 - 3
2008 - 2
2007 - 2
2006 - 3
2005 - 3
2004 - 4
2003 - 4
2002 - 2
2001 - 1
2000 - 1

Only twice in the past 11 years has it happened. Get your facts straight, Papa Nick.

it has nothing to do with past years its the fact that there are 10 teams that need qbs THIS year and since they are all being graded the same there is nothing preventing teams from selecting the #3, #4 and #5 guys

whatever, keep it as a bold prediction but I also believe it will happen so ill use it as one of my own

Nick, EVERY year there is more than half the league that needs QB. Do you honestly beleive that most of the time each team has a solid starter for QB? Come on Nick.

all im saying is that i dont believe its a bold prediction since my mock draft will include 4 QBs in the first round anyway. i didnt find it bold when i put them there, but apparently its not so widely believed so its fine

most mock drafts i see have 3-4 qbs being taking in round 1 so it def isnt a guarente to happen.  being a "bold prediction" doesnt mean crazy either so we dont need ridicolus picks where we only get 1 of them.  we need to make some better rules for this game because i dont want every1 to bitch about "how bold the picks r."  maybe we can assign a point value to each pick and this would be the lowest value type thing.  lets brainstorm guys we have 3-4 weeks!

heres an idea!  it is kind of like final jepordy. we each make 5 predictions, each pick is worth up to 20 points.  now u dont have to assign all 20 points to each pick, but that is the max.  if u get the pick right, u get whatever point value u assign to that pick.  however, if u get that pick wrong, u get minus points of whatever value u assigned.  So the potential range of points from our game is -100 to 100.  Highest point value wins.  i think these picks need to be in a day or so b4 the draft because we have to somewhat agree to them.  point value is assigned on draft day so u cant up the total by 1 point or whatever to beat ur opponent. to make it fair on the picks, maybe have 1 veto per person? i dont no but i think this is a good idea, what do u guys think? (and remember this game is for everyone and not just me, danny, and nick...)

i also think we all get 1 of the 5 picks where we make a bold prediction for our team where we dont get the minus if it is wrong.  this point will be worth between 10-20 points. the 10 point will be if it is just prediciting what guy they take, 20 if it is a very bold pick, such as mine and nicks would quailfy for 20 points

Fish, I got an even better idea. How about we assign a total of 100 points to the 5 picks, whatever we choose. But how about everyone else assigns those points. For example, I assign points to Nicks picks, Nicks to you picks. This way, you assign the most points to the predictions that you think they will get wrong. This will force you to be confident in absolutely every picks.
