Vested veterans don't have to pass through waivers right? So Moss will be a free agent.

Also I have to thank the Vikings for taking the heat off of Shanahan. What a stupid ****ing move that was benching McNabb. McNabb has historically been thin-skinned, its our bye week, and its REX ****ing GROSSMAN. There is no way he would ever "give us a better chance to win".

ya the good thing about mcnabb is he normally comes backl stronger the next week, hes not like a moss who will quit, but good luck resigning him next year, after eagles benched him in 2008 they had to give him an extra 5mil

That McNabb thing was retarded, I guess he just was hoping that McNabb will return from being benched like he did when he was in Philly.

What if this whole spat between Moss and the Patriots is just a big hoax and now he will just go back to New England! Free 3rd rounder!

As I noted in my Power Rankings, Brad Childress is the worst coach in the NFL. Nick sent me a funny text saying that maybe Childress should be waived, and thats not really a bad idea.

hahah tht is really funny. is he a vested vetern or does he have to go through waivers?  i think philly would put a claim on him as a qb coach.

everything i read says he has to go thru waivers. the team will have to pay his $6 million salary. Funny thing is if he clears waivers the vikes still have to pay him his full contract hahaha

Could Jerry Jones finally make up for passing on Moss 10 years later?

he even said in his press conference yesterday "there is only 1 team i want to play for"

i seriously doubt it and if this is a hoax it has got to be completely illegal but belichek is the one coach i could see doing it. i was never a belichek fan but he has made all the right decisions this year and his team is 6-1. Randy moss obviously thinks highly of the guy

ive always been a moss fan. mostly cuz im nasty with him in madden but also cuz hes a true leader, hes funny, talented and he hates the media which is a plus in my book. as long as he doesnt go to the skins or dallas ill still be a fan

Bold prediction:

Pats re-sign him, force him the ball for the remainder of the season to get his numbers up, then trade him for a 4th rounder

bill simmons tweet:

Note to Pats: Sign Moss just so "Pats trade Randy Moss to Minnesota for a 3rd round pick and Randy Moss" can run on ESPN's ticker.

Redskins are bringing in JaMarcus Russell haha. If McNabb is benched for Russel who made the worse trade? Skins giving up a 2nd for McNabb or Vikes giving up a 3rd for Moss?

Honestly, Id be more concerned with Russel being the starting QB than the lost draft pick

and nick the question isnt who got the worse trade out of the redskins or vikes, the real question is who is smarter philly or NE?

next time childress sees his caller ID and sees it is bill belichik he prolly has a look of horror in his eyes n probably should not answer the phone anymore.

haha nick i see you double dippin with PFT comments and board posts now

# Stillerz says: November 2, 2010 11:35 AM

Worse trade Vikes give 3rd for Moss or Skins give 2nd for McNabb?

I'd be more concerned about Russell being your starting QB than the lost draft pick...

This has been one of the most bizarre week of football I can remember.

As for Randy Moss, it is complete bull**** if he was cut for comments made about food. You don't cut a guy for something like that. Is he an *******? Yes, but that is his livelyhood and I thought there was something called free speech?

yeah i know a lot of dumb skins fans too, its a shame to have to pay for their idiocy by getting harassed and made fun of all the time haha. and then the skins don't help themselves by making laughable moves like this. honestly i never really wanted mcnabb and would have felt better going into full rebuilding mode, but of course im just gonna wait and see how this all pans out.

ya i would relax if i was a skins fan every1 is acting like this is the end of the world.  eagles benched mcnabb n every1 thought he was done there n he almost brought them to the super bowl that year.  things change week by week in the nfl, last week some ppl thought the skins were a top 3 team in the nfc and now its like there 0-16, just relax n things play themselfs out.

its funny how things change so quick in the NFL. had philip daniels not jumped offsides to give them a first down on the like 3 yard line that game probably wouldnt have unraveled so much. mcnabb woudlnt be benched and wed be 5-3 going into the bye week.

sigh.

honestly i'm not saying the sky is falling, i just think it was a total bad move by shanahan to piss off mcnabb and give him a reason to leave next year. we needed to lock him up, otherwise its just a poor trade of a 2nd round draft choice.

not a good way to start when you take over a franchise with so many holes, ya know? if he doesn't resign, were looking at needing a QB next year, on top of a guard, a running back, a receiver, an outside linebacker, and a nose tackle.

its almost 4oclock, we need some predictions!

moss: cheifs
sleepers: dolphins to block him for the pats, possibly rams but i dont think they will
merriman: clears waivers, signs with bmore

i agree with merriman in baltimore though, he loves maryland but hates the skins. before this season i kind of wanted him because we needed an OLB but lorenzo alexander has been ****in awesome so far this year.

can't believe ive watched this guy go from DT to G to OLB in his career, I believe he has even played some TE in goal line situations.

well the skins have one of the worst receiving corps in the NFL right now so I would be pumped as hell. as far as off the field issues are concerned, I really don't care, the whole league already laughs at us, so it can't really get much worse.

according to jay glazer bills are putting in a waiver request for merriman and they are the #1 waiver priority so he should be theirs.

i feel u, and trust me if the eagles got moss i would jump on the bandwagon too, but 2 teams havent given up on him in the past month and he hasnt made a huge impact when he was with either. the vikings were 1-3 with him and the pats r 3-0 without, so idk wat to think here

thts y i think teams like the rams and dolphins might pass on him, cuz hes not wat he use to be n hes a major distraction, but the chiefs gm was the one who traded for moss a few years ago which is y i think hell go there.

the thing is, he definitely helped the vikings, percy harvin has been playing better with moss drawing double coverage.

patriots didn't give up on him, they traded him before his value declined even more, plus they have tom freaking brady who makes everyone look good.

redskins have joey ****ing galloway as their 3rd WR.

you ask yourself the question "does this player make my team better?" and if the answer is yes, you support it.

moss isnt **** i would be pissed if the steelers picked him up. i know they wont so im not worried about it but the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. moss doenst want to play for the bills or the rams or the skins or the chiefs there is no way he does more good than harm for whatever team picks him up unless its a great situation for him, which none of those teams are.

i don't think you realize how valuable Moss is just as a decoy, you pretty much have to double cover him.

the bottom line is 2 teams didn't give up on him, you have belichick who is notorious for letting go of players slightly early in order to stockpile draft picks, and childress who will inevitably be fired for a laundry list of mistakes, but most recently cutting moss without the input of anyone else on the team.

randy moss can still be effective in certain situations and if he joined the skins even in his 2010 form he would be the best receiver on the team. and it pains me to say that because i've always loved santana moss, but i think its pretty obvious santana is losing his burst, which was one of his biggest strengths due to his size.
