it's actually not that bad of a song. just weird timing. the sex tape was 6-7 years ago and kim has had 3 serious bf's since him. ray j must be coming out with an album or something
marvin's room is one of drakes best songs of all time. i apprecaite the heads up and will listen to them and review as soon as i wake up from my fainting.
hahaha wow. some of this is true but most isnt. this was also 2 years ago so things have definaitly changed. i like how they said he is 30 when he was 25 at the time, but the part about him doing house college parties in a kitchen was pretty funny. alex does burn a lot of his bridges so he prolly ****ed over this dude and now he is/was trying to get revenge so this doesnt surprise me. pretty funny tho
"One of three suspects in the weekend stabbing of a Steelers player is an up-and-coming rapper who appeared in the music video for Wiz Khalifa's hit song "Black and Yellow."
Dquay Means, 26, of Hazelwood, goes by the stage name Quay Meanz and identifies as part of the Taylor Gang, a loosely knit group of people who hang out with Pittsburgh Allderdice alumnus turned rapper Wiz Khalifa."
So now that I've had 3 days to fully digest Yeezus and the wild, demonic, ****ed up album that it is-- I've got to disagree. It's certainly not the college dropout but what is anymore?
The best comparison I've heard is a nine inch nails/marylin Manson album. He's got Rick Rubin on some of these tracks who's produced for Slipknot, system of a down, Slayer, rage against the machine and other heavy metal groups. Throw in Travis Scott, Daft Punk, the RZA, TNGHT and No ID and that's obviously what Kanye was going for here.
I see it as the evil twin to 808s and heartbreaks (one of my favorite albums). It's mean, raw, trap and twisted and I'm loving it.
I'm also loving Mac Millers new album itslightyears ahead of his last one.
Jay-Z Magna Carta Holy Grail in 2 weeks!! That's gonna be unbelievable too.
I just see Kanye with these grandiose, soulful, catchy, beautiful beats. This was just too stripped down, like he's trying to prove that he doesn't need production to make an album. It makes sense though, I hated 808's also. Give me a College Dropout/Late Registration/Dark Twisted any day of the week and I'll play the skin off that CD. This just didn't do it for me. While we're at it, new Daft Punk CD outside of Get Lucky isn't doing much for me either. Call me jaded but music just isn't as good as it used to be... Though I gotta say after seeing that commercial for Magna Carter last night I got a chub and a half. I'm also quietly excited for Robin Thicke's new CD to drop next month, Blurred Lines has been my summer jam thus far. Otherwise my musical tastes have dwindled pretty rapidly, I find myself listening to the Black Keys, Outkast, John Legend, Metallica, et al. mostly these days. As I get older my interest gets worse and worse.
i'm not as into music as u 2 are and don't know all this cfrazy lingo, i just listen to it and if i like it i play it on repeat until i dont haha. anyway, all the reviews ive heard all say this is one of the best albums in a while and kanye is a genius, etc. for me, i loved 808 mainily because i use to get high every day, this so far i'm enjoying this album as well. def no radio songs on here that nick loves but i think this is going to be a great cd to rock out to on sya a long drive
Yeah RAM was a huuge letdown. I've given up on that one.
Music def isn't as good as it was, mostly due to over saturation but there are still artists like Kanye pushing the envelope. I don't think Kanye is winning any Grammys for yeezus, dark fantasy was his best shot at that, but I think that's his point.
Kanyes gift and curse is his need to top his last work. I'd say most of his albums have expanded up until dark fantasy, so when he pushed it further with yeezus it was just too much for some ppl. I don't doubt him going back to sampling classics soul records, just not at this point in his career.
Listen to 'bound 2' again thou. That's a beautiful soulful song
Otherwise, roll the windows down and crank the volume to 10
yeah kendrick and jay elec are light years ahead of big sean in terms of rapping.
jay-z called jay electronica his favorite rapper a couple years ago. his writing is so intricate that he still hasnt put out his first album and ppl have been waiting for it since 2008. he was good on mac millers Suplexes Inside of Complexes & Duplexes on watching movies with the sound off. im sure ive reccommended that mac album a few times but if youre still not convinved listen to objects in the mirror.
lastly, not sure if i mentioned of not, but we went on a concert binge last week. wiz khalifa, ASAP rocky, BOB, trinidad james last thursday followed by lil wayne, TI, 2 chanz and french montana on friday. they were 2 completly differnt experiences. i wish i got to go to jay-z/jt in bmore but headed to charleston friday morning. rolling stone called jay-z the second best live show behind only the boss, bruce springsteen.

"I’m usually homeboys with the same ni**as I’m rhymin’ with/ But this is hip-hop and them ni**as should know what time it is. And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller/ I got love for you all, but I’m tryna murder you ni**as/ Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you ni**as/ They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you ni**as.”
after reading this and listening to the song i knew it was gonna be a pretty big deal, but so far according to twitter it seems like the biggest rap story of 2013. ive already read somewhere it is the best verse of the year so if anyone hears any comback tracks please let me know! here is one mans prediction:
I suspect in the coming days we'll hear a few of the names Kendrick dropped try to take "Control" into their own hands. Pusha T certainly is. I'll bet Drake has a friendly volley in him. A$AP Rocky has always seemed disinterested in this kind of frippery, but I love the idea of Big Sean responding to Kendrick on his own song, again. How embarrassing, how Big Sean. J. Cole is probably still transcribing exactly how the verse made him feel. Tyler, The Creator is almost certainly making fun of Kendrick's haircut while sitting in an empty swimming pool. I'm sure Kendrick's already plotted his own response to these responses: deeper, smarter, better songs. He'll be ready. Imagine that, a competitive spirit.
