Not scientific, but Jay Cutler seems like he turns into an idiot when he plays at night. During the day hes like a whole different QB. I'm sure there are stats to disprove this, but just my observations from watching him.

Congratulations Dean. I can't even say that I'm anything but jealous of you at this point. Two straight years in the AFC Championship game. I pray to sweet 10 pound 11 ounce baby Jesus every night for the Dolphins to experience this.
With that said, I expect a VERY heated exchange of words between you and Nick leading up to the game, and I will be sure to provide my insight into the game.
Nick and Dean, congratulations. The winner gets to play Green Bay in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, sorry I didn't pick the Steelers to win 100-0 like you did. Man you sure know how to pick 'em.

I said that I would only count them as a win if I got both picks in each Conference right, or else I would of picked the spread. So technically, you did not get a point for the AFC games.
Nick 1-1 for the weekend.

Here are my picks. I'll parlay both the AFC and NFC games, no spread, must get both winners to call it a win.
AFC New England v New York Pittsburgh v Baltimore
NFC Atlanta v Green Bay Chicago v Seattle

its impossible to disrespect the steelers as a franchise because of what they have accomplished but I am tired of seeing them win the superbowl and its even worse that ben is so young.
so I'm hoping GB wins.
pittsburgh will live and die by their secondary on sunday (i know its obvious and everyone is talking about it but it is true) and i just don't think they can keep up with aaron rodgers and his receiving corp. the only silver lining is that rodgers takes a lot of sacks and the steelers have a ferocious pass rush.
also raji ended the season strong and has been playing great ball, i just don't think legursky can handle him.
that being said when you have the best improvising QB in the league in ben, you can't count on anything.
the steelers run defense is epic, but i think that works to the pack advantage because they shouldn't even try to set up the run.

im going packers. i was thinking steelers all week cuz i thought there d would slow down the packers and there o would make a few plays, but the mroe i thought about it, packers r almost impossible to slow down indoors on turf and i dont think pitt is gonna be able to score enough on a very good packers d to keep up.
i must have missed when i said best of all time mr. salty, but there offense is better than the steelers and there d isnt bad either. on turf the packers r tuff to beat.
Aaron Rodgers‘ Packers offense has averaged 31.8 points-per-game since 2008 indoors. They scored over 40 in their two playoff games indoors. Rodgers has 26 touchdowns, five interceptions, and averaged 8.6 yards-per-attempt.
Offense: Big Ben is the third best QB in this league and its not because he puts up 400 yards every game. Its because he is excellent at everything that cannot be measured by a stat. He put up 21 points in the second half against his rival Ravens and 24 points in the first half against the vaunted Jets defense before taking the foot off the gas to run out clock. I still see both the Ravens and the Jets as better defenses than the Packers, who have been crowned because some undrafted rookie has made a couple picks against QBs much less talented than Ben. Was BJ Raji really making plays before the pick 6 he had vs Caleb Hanie from the 4 yard line? No more plays than Big Snack has been making for the Steelers. Packers are ranked 18th vs the run and last game was Mendenhalls coming out party (no im not talking about humping Ben after the last play of the game). If he can carve up the Jets D for 95 yards in the first half, I expect him to put up solid numbers against the Pack. Ben averages 26.4 points per game in the playoffs. Not only do Ben and the steelers put up points this week, but Ben finally gets that MVP trophy that Tone stole right out from under him in 08.
Defense: Well Action Aaron Rogers is the sexy pick this year because he was able to lock up the 6th seed in week 17 and put up 21 points to hold off the Bears vs their 3rd string QB. Everyone seems to forget that the Steelers were and still are the #1 defense in the NFL. You cant spread them out 5 wide and expect any significant yardange because Wood and Dbo are gonna be on you in 3 seconds. James Starks caught fire in the post season but I dont expect much from him at all, no need to explain why. I dont think the Steelers are gonna shut out the Pack, but with the Steelers running the ball to control the clock like they did vs the Jets, a turnover and a couple stalled drives should be enough to outscore them.
Intangables: I went to two of these points last weekend and I will expand on them even further here. Polamalu and Experience. Polamalu did not play last season when the Steelers beat the pack 37-36. Hes had 2 weeks to rest his achellies and, again, the Super Bowl isnt the best time or place to be trying to figure him out on the fly. The Steelers have more than 20 players with Super Bowl experience, the Pack have 1. Experience is even more valuable in the Super Bowl when everything is magnified 10x. Im not just talking about the plays on the field either. Introductions are more intense, tv timeouts are longer, halftime is longer, scoring TDs vs settling for FGs is magnified. And oh yea, 3 BILLION people are watching.
This is gonna be a great Super Bowl, I really hope it is, but if there is anyone who can handle the pressure of big games, a QB like Aaron Rogers and a fast but very young defense, its the Steelers.
I dont think a game has ever been won or lost because of the grass they are playing on. if its faster for the Pack, its faster for the Steelers
disagree. some teams are built better for different fields. the packers offense is very fast, esp those wrs. some teams play better on a slower field, like the bears and i am convinced the eagles would have beat them at home but that slow field hurt them. yes, some players on the steelers have speed and will take advantage like mike wallace, but in general guys there a physical team with mendall and hines ward so it wont make that much of a difference
Im talking more about the DBs but the packers WRs arent faster than the Steelers in any sense. Wallace is faster than jennings and everyone is faster than donald driver. packs WR might be more talented, but pure speed, nah

ward is faster than who exactly? and antiono brown? ur awfully high on a guy whos made a few nice plays. is he faster/better than james jones? and greg jennings vs mike wallace, ill give u wallace is faster but give me jennings
First, overall the Steelers WRs are faster than Packers WRs. They will also benefit from the indoor turf. I think that the game is such a good match-up in terms of offenses vs. defense. During the regular season the Packers statistically had a better offense, but I think thats where it ended. Don't let the scores of the games fool you, I have been more impressed by the Steelers offense than the Packers this post-season. Pittsburghs offense scored 31 on the Ravens defense and 28 on the Jets, two of the best defenses in the NFL.
I think we all agree which defense gets the nod. Don't get me wrong, Packers defense is extremely talented and they have dismantled Matt Ryan (Who Fish, let me remind you, consistently say is a terrible playoff player), as well as destroying Jay Cutler. I think they will meet their match in a Steelers offense led by Ben Rothlesberger playing in his THIRD Super Bowl.
Don't expect Pouncey missing the game to be a problem, they have had 2 weeks to prepare, they backup should be more than ready. BJ Raji will be an issue for him, but I expect a lot of screens, shovel passes, and tosses to make Raji work every play.
Steelers 31 - Green Bay 30

I didn't post that for your enjoyment by the way, I did it for my reputation and integrity.
In all honesty, I could care less who wins, but if I'm picking a winner that's it.
