rivera is use to a 4-3 with the eagles and they got sean mcdermont as there dcorrdinator from philly who also ran a 4-3, so im not sure what they will use.  its easier for a de to go froma  4-3 to a 3-4 then a dt to go from a 4-3 to a 3-4, just ask albert hanyesworth

Bowers can play a lot of positions on the field, not just limited to 4-3, in my opinion. I have never seen a more athletic DT in my life than Fairley.

athletic DEs done play defenseive ends in a 3-4. 3-4 d ends are big to take up blockers so the LBs can make tackles

Your right Nick, they don't play DE, they move to OLB.

right, danny like i said earlier, if bowers is selected and rivera runs a 3-4, bowers is gonna play OLB like woodley or suggs

I agree with a lot of what you all are saying, but I just want a certain someone to know that if/when Gabbert is selected #1 overall, or the top 5 for that matter, I will not be impressed, I will not say "good call", and I will not give credit. I will reserve that for Mike Mayock.

Nick, tell me knowing that if you lie, your dog Wally will die, that you made that prediction BEFORE seeing Mayock's mock draft with Gabbert in it?

So your saying, you knew before seeing someone on ESPN, NFL, or any station talk about Gabbert? So you knew he was an NFL QB during the college season?

Nick, January 10th was at the end of bowl season, and your so full of sh!t right now. You had no idea this guy even existed until someone in the business brought up his name.

And don't think I'm saying I did, I couldn't even have told you the starting QB for Mizzou before bowl season started.

if your going soley by what you have seen in college football youre gonna have a hard time getting picks right past #5... no wonder ur mock fell off last year after the top 7 that everyone knew about.

getting your knowledge up consists of more than what you saw during the season

ur both right here.  danny is right cuz nick, like most of america, had no idea who gabbert was until he declared and the espn/mayock guys started saying hes actully pretty good.  and nick is right because at that time not too many ppl if any said he would go #1.

now its a long process obviously, and i doubt the guy goes 1 but well see

Ok, well I guess I will agree with that, cause I remember after bowl season the mock drafts starting coming out with him #5 to Arizona and the first QB taken. However, I just don't see how you can feel confident making that pick. I know I wouldn't, I know nothing about the guy, hardly ever seen him play, other than the bowl game, where he played bad by the way.

Nick I know your a stat guy so let me hit you with some stats:

Blaine Gabbert

21st in Passing Yards
69th in Passer Rating
Tied 59th Passing TDs

How is that impressive? I must be missing something.

Oh, I guess I didn't understand the bold predictions than. I thought once we made a pick in that thread we couldn't change it? Thats what makes it bold, Nick. If thats the case, expect A LOT of bold predictions from me!

its still way too early to have an accurate opinion on who will go where in the draft. After the combine we can start talking about our predictions, at this point narrowing it down to 5 guys isnt impressive and narrowing it down to 1 is stupid cause its too early

nick im more messing around i dont really give a ****, but u call me out a lot for flip flopping or whatever so were gonna call u out.  ur thing is u like to play both sides. u say bold prediction and then throw out some random underground guy and if it happens u look like u knew it all along and u look smart but if it doesnt u just say it was a joke or make up some other excuse.  u do it too with picking games and the underdogs as ive pointed out many times.  like i said i dont wanna start **** cuz i dont think its a big deal and im messing around but if ur gonna post something i said about the jets in a bold prediction i made in the preseason and bring it up months later basiclly to say look at this dumb ass prediction u cant make any and expect us to not hold u accountable either.

as for the bold predictions, this forum wouldnt be **** without ppl making predictions. its what we talk about. im not gonna think "hey im reading that blane gabbert is the most nfl ready qb but let me keep that to myself because i wouldnt want to be wrong on the forum" no, i post it up and if it happens i said it first, if i change my mind that fine too

but so that everyones happy i retract my bold prediction that blane gabbart will be the first pick in the draft. I can now choose whoever i want as the first pick and if it happens to be gabbert well pretend like i never said anything

ok so this might be 3-5 years away but still...The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Clowney is the highest-rated prospect in the ESPNU 150 since fellow defensive end Da'Quan Bowers in 2008, who was also from the Palmetto State and signed with Clemson. Clowney, who finished his junior and senior seasons with a combined 57 sacks.

57 sacks in 2 years!! high schoolers only play like 10 games a year, so that is like 2-3 sacks a game! that is crazy

watched him in the UA senior bowl. he had at least 3 sacks, a forced and recoverd fumble and countless tackles. Hes also like 6-6 250 coming out of freaking high school

Under Armour gives Cam Newton biggest deal ever for NFL rookie

Uh oh, as if Tom Brady signing with Under Armor didnt sky rocket my stock enough (closed friday over $70 a share, i bought 100 shares at 35 a piece in 08) they have now signed the face of the 2011 draft class to the bigges rookie endorsment deal in history. Very nice
