my NHL sources are telling me the players are the ones asking for too much now and its not the owners. apparently this Donald Fehr character doesnt really know what hes doing and everyone expected a deal by now n he keeps f'ing it up.
now thats anaylsis nick, not false rumor posting with wrong dates and everything!

im not sure they could have fired him during the lockout.
you think crosbys deal of 12 years for 104 mill is crazy? they are prepared to give malkin 102 over only 8 years as soon as they can begin negotiating on july 1. they have already discussed malkin being the highest paid player per season with crosby.
thats almost 13 mill a season for last years MVP without batting an eye. they are also ready to negotiate with letang since they traded jordan stahll before the lockout for a first and a second round draft pick plus some players so they dont have to give him 100+. pens are ready to make another run this year and for some years to come!!
also with last years conference runners up NY rangers grabbing rick nash, josh you may want to think about switching NY teams.
the owners lock out all coaches/managment/players and dont pay them all offseason, and right before they do start work and getting paid, this dude gets the axe!
yeah pens look like they expected them to lay down for 4 straight games. theyre outworking them like crazy. plus, fluery leads the playoffs in goals SMMFH
haha yeah he was a rookie when lemieux was still in his prime. hes still pretty good and NHL forwards can play until theyre pretty old. the devils superstar forward just retired to go back to russia after signing a 13 year $100+M contract just 2 years ago so theyre really struggling right now.
hell yeah, vanek is a beast. one of the best shots in the game, an assistant captain and moulson was on an expiring contract anyways. i think they gave up 2 first rounders but the talent in next years draft isnt great.
false. i'm 175 of solid muscle and do at least 60 push ups 3x a week before bed. i was never good at pull ups but im willing to bet i can do at least 3-5 esp if it was a requirment for my future job
so was last night the worst DC sports night since when RG3 tore his acl and ruined his career in that playoff loss to the seahawks, or could we say this was the worst DC night ever?
nick, you would know the answer to this more than me, but I have a good amount of DC friends who I work with and they were all extremely excited/nervous for last night and I can't remember the last time the same city had 2 BIG TIME games like this going on at the exact same time. And to top it off the way they both ended was just crazy.
with about 10 seconds left in the wiz/hawks game DC fans were thinking they were about to go up 3-2 with a home game 6 to close it out and advance to their first conference finals in decades PLUS their hockey team was going into OT in game 7 and looking good there as well.
15 seconds later the wiz lost and are now down 2-3 where the team who losses game 5 losses the series more than 80% of the time and then 10 minutes after that their hockey team put the finishing touches on another 3-1 series collapse to end their year.
so in a 15 minute span those same suffering fans were on the edge of seeing 2 of their teams advance to the conference finals (where they haven't had one in there since the 90's) to one being done and the other most likely done now. wow.
ppl are piased. the skins are a frustrating team but its not because they underachieve, its because their owner continually screws them up before the games even start.
the caps on the other hand are a good team every year, have great ownership and coaching and make the playoffs more times than not. but once they get their they choke. every year. and heres a depressing stat if youre a DC sports fan... the caps have now lost playoff series after being up 3-1 five times, the most of any team in ANY sport with a 7 game format.
could have been a great night to be out at the DC bars. instead it was probably terrible and a huge waste of excitement/drunkness.
I asked paul what was a worse night, last night or the RG3 night, and he went with RG3. he rational was the caps are always letting them down and the wiz at least still have a chance, but RG3 has never been the same and a lot of people were counting on him to turn things around.
sucks being a DC fan, and its crazy to think about having years (or decades) of being disappointed by your team and then for 1 year you think you finally found a franchise QB who is going to change your life for the next 10 years and in one game its all over. paul put something on facebook that they are one of the only cities (and def for a major city's with 4 teams) to not have a team make it to the conference finals since 2000. that's crazy.
josh your islanders got a heated series going on there! this NHL playoff has been amazing so far. I actually like the isles alot and once the caps and pens take care of business they will face off in washington hopefully next thursday/friday or saturday! not a TB fan so im rooting for Pens/Isles after that
