that's impressive, no chance I could do that, i haven't seen any of the harry potter or lord of the rings movies either. I've always wanted to watch LOR but with each movie being 3 hours i cant mentally commit myself to 9 hours of movies. with that said, you have only seen the 1st bourne movie???
office christmas party (jason bateman/jennifer aniston) or why him (james franco/bryan cranston)?
personally id like to see why him more but since i want to see both and office christmas party is a seasonal movie i should probably see that first if choosing one. still, both look awesome -- bateman/aniston were great in horible bosses and have been in 5 movies together but franco/cranston are 2 of the best doing it.
i don't have much interest in either at the moment, but yeah if you're picking between those 2 movies to watch in the theater then yeah go to the one with the xmas theme. when it comes out on redbox in april it wont have the same effect where the other one it wont matter when you watch it.
whats the difference between the kodi/roku/amaozon firesticks? they are all the rage but do they provide anything more than an xbox with amazon/hbogo/hulu/netflix/etc?
i was actually thinking about sling tv.. .$40 a month and get pretty much all the channels i watch now. its new to the dc area but connects to roku and streams tv online but live. i think thats the way media is going anyway.
lastly, i hear you can hack the amazon sticks and get everything fo free. cant imaging they allow that to happen but that would be a huge selling point haha.
finally cracked and watched guardians of the galaxy a few weeks ago.. boy was i pleasantly surprised. was even more excited when i saw the preview for GOTG 2 during the SB. josh why didnt you tell us about this gem??
Prettttttyyyyyy sure I sung the praises of that one as loud as anyone could hear, I cannot tell you how pumped i am for GOTG2, that trailer during SB was GREAT.
Recently Dana and I watched Arrival, LOVED it, highly recommend checking it out.
now that the news has been all about the Oscars over the past few days I started looking into some of the best picture nominees and realized I didn't see any of them and didn't even hear of half of them until sunday night. I watched the trailer for Manchester by the sea and that looked interesting and I also heard pretty good things from friends so I might check that out soon as well as La La Land once that hits on demand. I also had to check out the trailer for moonlight and it doesn't seem like my kind of movie but it has an extremely high rotten tomatoes rating and it won best picture so it has to be pretty good. you guys see any of those movies and recommend them or any of the other nominees?
danielle and i watched moonlight the other night. it was def good, not action packed or anything but def made you think. a rich mans get rich or die trying.
arrival was absolutely awesome.
i have less than no interest in manchester by the sea or lala land
just got back from Get Out. My goodness. do yourselves a favor and go watch it asafp. its equal parts terrifying, brilliant, topical, frustrating and amazing.
havent felt that way leaving a movie theater in a long long time. def the best movie ive seen in some time and its understandably got a 99% on RT.
as i said last week me and allie almost watched Manchester by the sea but ended up doing something else. that sunday was the Oscars which we then saw casey Affleck win and then hearing from a few friends say how good that movie was I kind of regretted not watching it last week. fast forward to the next week and we ended up renting it and it was decent but def not for me so I was a little disappointed I got suckered into the Oscar hype when I know I do not enjoy most of those movies.
I heard good things about La La land but now I have no interest so I will be skipping that. I heard there was a brad pitt movie out that is more my style so I will check that out and while I am not really into horror movies ive heard get out is the best movie of the year so I am sure at some point I will watch that as well.
as for my animated movies, sing is coming out on demand soon which I am excited about and also some Disney called mona that has very high ratings that I will almost def check out as well.
yeah i heard it was good, saw an article that said "best superhero movie since the dark knight." allie isn't much of a super hero movie person so its hard to get her to watch these type of movies. is this like a prequel to anything or can I watch it on its own and know whats going on?
