Love this new game. I will post mine tommorow at work.

Few thoughts on yours though Fish. AND REMEMBER, these are just my opinions.

1. Taking -14 for a team you talked down all game? That's a lot of points for any team.

2. Cam Newton might not win a lot of games this year, but he will prove he was the right pick and fight until the end every game.

3. I like.

4. I like.

5. Not sure. Oakland looks like Super Bowl contenders against the AFC West, but we will see if they can win away from "Shank Stadium"

 1) u know ive just been messing about the steelers all week.  there are so many factors why i think steelers r gonna blow them out i'll just list my top 5:

5.  steelers are home, and there pissed after getting smashed last week and having anaylist talk **** about them.

4. i think seattle is one of the worst teams in the league.

3. west coast team playing a 1oclock game on the east coast (terrible track record)

2. tarvaris jackson on the road

1. tarvaris jackson

2) i like newton also, but GB is the defending super bowl champs, at home, and have had 11 days to recover.  i dont think this is gonna be close either

5) i think oaklands decent, but getting back to the west coast team playing an east coast game at 1pm, esp after a monday night game.  i think the bills sneak out a close one here.

 as for your picks:

1. love it.  however, its a very tough game.  atl home opener with vick coming game on sunday night so u no that dome is going to be extremly loud. i feel anything can happen when 2 pretty even teams play in those conditions.  im expecting philly to win, but i think there are 5 safer bets on the board.

2. i could see the panthers scoring a garbage td to cover, but im betting on a blow out

3. could definitly see it, i was thinking this as well

4. def can see this, but i think its gonna b a close game.  also dont want to bet on the redskins winning until i see them do it for a few more weeks.

5. explained earlier.

i like this game and think it has potential!  we'll see how much we truley know about betting vs the spread...

Since fish apologized (sort of) for bashing the steelers ill participate:

1. Cowboys (-3) over 49ers (easy pick)

2. Ravens (-6) over Titans (hate the ravens with a passion but they are 60 points better than the titans)

3. Bills (-3) over Raiders (bills are my sleeper pick so im rollin with them. anytime a team has THAT many penalties its hard to pick them)

4. Steelers (-14) over Seattle (steelers putting up triple digits)

5. You guys took all the good ones so ill throw out a wild card of Detriot Lions (-7.5) over the Cheifs (dont feel good about it but the cheifs are baaaaaaad)

as for you guys other ones I like the:

Eagles over the Falcons (Vick will be more fired up than anyone)

GB over Carolina (no way im betting againts GB after watching that first game)

Bears over Saints (Bears D is ferocious)

Cards over Skins (but who cares?)

I think the Bucs are a lock at -3 over the vikings also. might change my #5 after I think about it

ha, u basically did didn't u?  i like the 5 game thing, i personally feel 5 is a nice number and makes u think about which games u are actually confident in rather than just basically flipping a coin like we would on some games (say browns vs colts).  i got this game from vegas called nfl super contest (pick 5 teams vs the spread) but u have to put 1500 on the line and im not that confident.  here is the link

http://www.lvhilton.com/supercontest

we should each throw in 500 next season (you me and danny) then hold a war room every week to make our picks. that could be epic

im not sure the 3 of us would be able to agree on 5 games per week without coming to intense arguments and ruined friendships, but it could be fun!

Sometimes the Yahoo! page is hard to read but if you look at the Moneyline, it clearly shows who is the points favorite. Miami is favored, Tampa is favored. You guys need to change your picks.

i went by what it said on Friday and the brows were def favored. why would miami (0-2) be favored on the road to the 1-1 browns?

Instead of going by the site that changes why dont we just post the spreads here on friday afternoon then go by that regardless of when you pick? At least that way were all going off the same numbers

we can do that, but i dont think its that big a deal.  as long as we arent exaggerating the spread, just post ur picks how the line is on that day.  i think we can trust each other that were not cheating a moneyless game on the forum haha

its tough picking with the spread. nickerson learned all too much this weekend. i think he said he won $200 on the ravens but lost $400 on the eagles, $600 on the falcons and $1100 on the steelers haha. i might jump off our rooftop deck if that heppened to me

u would jump off the roof? he only lost $2,100 and that doesnt include the winnings on the ravens game.  down $2,100 is only an average thursday night in bmore finest gentlemens club!

were making our bets on 3 different numbers. danny would have won the miami line last week if it didnt change on him. i dont get why all of us betting on the same line isnt better than betting on 3 differnt lines...

if the lines do change, thats part of betting, placing ur bet based on the line.  if u bet the colts were gonna win the division back in april u would have much different odds then u would if u did that the day before the season started.
