one big time olinemen (forgot his name) is from ohio state and he chose michigan via twitter and ppl are letting him have it haha.  it got so bad he started tweeting back his address and said come find him so he could fight them haha.  he got so pissed he said "there will be blood" when michigan plays OSU haha.  im glad a freshman linemen is making these kind of bold predictions

I really hate college sports for some reason.

yeah dude, I just can't be bothered. I'll watch college football, but only the main bowl games (sugar/cotton/orange/rose/fiesta/bcs) or if #1 is playing #2. otherwise i couldn't be bothered

last year at this time we were getting ready to go to vegas on friday :(

ive completed the perfect march madness bracket if anyone wants to know the secret it only costs half of your winnings!

 I walked away from Vegas a little dissapointed, maybe it was my lack of gambling, maybe it was that I was sick with the bird flu, maybe it was the lost wallets, who knows, but the more I think about the trip, the more I want to go back.

well that post about needed a new Vaca from me was about 2-3 weeks ago, and guess what...were going on a new vaca this weekend!  im pumped for this. 

danny u should take notes from nick, don't bring a gf on a guys weekend vaca.  expect epic stories on monday as well as full blown depression on the forum being back at work

In hopes of reconstructing college football's postseason model, the 11 BCS commissioners headed into their meeting on Wednesday in Chicago.

By the time the meeting was through, all 11 BCS commissioners had agreed on a four-team playoff system.

Big Ten commissioner Jim Delany reportedly wouldn't reveal how the seeds would be determined, but he did say the presidents' committee, which includes 12 university presidents, would ultimately decide on the model.

When the committee is through deciding, the top four seeds in the playoffs will either be the top-ranked teams in the country, regardless of conference, or there will only be one team allowed per conference. Under the latter model, Alabama wouldn't have made the title game last season.

i think this is much better than the bowl system but man get ready for some controversy when the 4 teams are getting picked.  picking the top 2 teams is normally pretty easy, but 4?  there are debates in the ncaa tourney when going for the 65th team haha, i cant imagine how the 5th seed is gonna feel in football now.  good luck deciding between 2 teams who are 10-1 in big conferences vs an undefeated team in a small one if it comes down to that. 

what about this year, the locks woulda been LSU and bama, but then who?

i guess stanford and ok state would have been the favorites, but u also had boise state in the mix with 1 loss, good luck small conferences, getting screwed again!

Anyone heard the news? It's open season on Penn State players!

Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien said today that every single player on the Nittany Lions has been recruited by other teams' coaches, with some players already receiving up to 50 scholarship offers. That's not a typo.

Opposing coaches have taken advantage of both the unprecedented sanctions levied against the school and the stipulation that Penn State players be allowed to transfer without sitting out a year. It's created a "recruiting frenzy," according to ESPN's Joe Schad, with coaches creatively trying to nab running back Silas Redd and other stars.“

In the 48 hours since the NCAA levied unprecedented sanctions against the program, an extraordinary recruiting frenzy has played out on Penn State's campus, where players are working out. At noon Wednesday, several groups of coaches from opposing teams were waiting in the Lasch Football Building parking lot to recruit Penn State players.“

"Our players are in our building right now and they don't want to leave the building because there are coaches from other schools in the parking lot waiting to see them," said O'Brien, who spent the morning at ESPN's Bristol, Conn., campus.

All the coaches have to do to start recruiting is email or fax their intentions. Can you imagine a nice elderly secretary at the football office's fax machine today? She's probably seconds away from pulling an "Office Space" on it by now.

Pretty standard story right there really.

i doubt he made it there.  my guess is he left my house and went to walk his car (parked it by the school by riverside) he got lost along the way and probably took him 2-3 hours to find it.  Hypothetically, he got to his car around 4am, drunk and pissed cuz he just struk out and then passed out as soon as he got inside his car.  then he woke up to the sounds of school busses and kids getting ready for school haha.

also- he almost got his car towed during the game but had to pay off the tow guy $200 for "towing expenses" since the car was already on the lift. expensive night
