wow i cant believe u did an entire mock with comments and all! pretty good. obviously everyone who does one is gonna be lucky to get more than 10 right but dont worry i have this printed out n will grade u on thursday night. hahah jk, this was good, i can see the eagles getting brockers but i think there gonna try to trasde up to get cox
If you need this pick explained you just silly son.
2)Redskins: Robert Griffin III, QB, Baylor
I'm not sold on RGIII myself, but then again I said Cam would be a bust, so what do I know?
3)Vikings: Matt Kalil, OT, USC
I'm not buying Fraizers talk of not needing an LT. Yeah AP can run behind anything, but remember this is a passing league, and how can Ponder pass if he's on his ass? (I RHYMED!!!!)
4)Browns: Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
An obvious playmaker on an offense that lacks a single one.
5)Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
Aqib Talib is gone, Ronde is 10000 years old, no brainer.
6)Rams: Justin Blackmon, WR, OSU
Generally a QB needs a WR to throw to in the NFL, hopefully Bradford and Blackmon can make some sweet sweet music together
7)Jaguars: Stephen Gilmore, CB, South Carolina
Im not high on Gilmore, but the Jags seem to be, and Rashean Mathis is also like 8000 years old.
8)Dolphins: Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M
The Desperation Dolphins continue to sink further and further down by over selecting a QB
9)Panthers: Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi St.
They couldn't stop the run if the RB tripped over his own two feet. Will provide a Kris Jenkins like presence in the middle.
10)Bills: Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa
Demetrius Bell is gone, its a necessity to replace him, unsexy but necessary pick.
11)Chiefs: Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis
Too much talent to pass up at this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chiefs trade back. 12)Seahawks: Luke Kuechly, ILB, BC
They signed Barret Rudd, he's nothing but a stop gap, this guy will be running that defense for the next 10 years.
13)Cardinals: David Decastro, OG, Stanford
Ask ol' concussion Kolb, this O-Line sucks and needs a massive infusion of talent.
14)Cowboys: Mark Barron, S, Alabama
They need someone else besides Brandon Carr in the secondary period.
15)Eagles: Quentin Coples, DE, UNC
Since they struck out on Brandon Graham they decide to try again on Coples(just kidding fish!) As I always say you can never have enough pass rushers, and the talent is too good to pass up at this point in the draft.
16)Jets: Melvin Ingram, DE/OLB, South Carolina
The Jets have been living off Revis and Cro and zero pass rush. This defense is aging, but adding a pass rusher could make this defense dominant again.
17)Bengals: Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame
An absolute steal at this point. Soon it'll be like the heyday of Ocho and Housh in Cinci, except itll be Green and Floyd, scary combo!!!
18)Chargers: Courtney Upshaw, DE/OLB, Alabama
They've been desperate for a pass rusher for like 5 years now, maybe this time they'll finally get one!! 19)Bears: Jonathon Martin, OT, Stanford
A pass rusher opposite Peppers would be nice, but keeping Cutler up and healthy is the much more pertinent need.
20)Titans: Whitney Mercilus, DE/OLB, Illinois
I wasn't really sure who to give the Titans. The only reason they let Cortland walk was because of Alteraun Verner or whatever his name is, so a CB isn't dire. But you can once again never go wrong with a pass rusher!
21)Bengals: Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama
Losing Joseph hurt them last year, Losing hall to achilles hurt even more. Kirkpatrick is a great grab at this point to sure up that secondary!
22)Browns: Kendall Wrigh, WR, Baylor
Their number one receiver currently is Greg Little, that **** won't fly. Him and Richardson will make the AFC North a very interesting place.
23)Lions: Cordy Glenn, OG/OT, Georgia
The defense looks awesome, Janoris Jenkins could be a possibility here, but I think they go the safe route and give Stafford another protector.
24)Steelers: Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama
This guy will either be a Steeler or a Raven, I guarantee it.
25)Broncos: Michael Brockers, DT, LSU
They got Peyton, now it's time to work on that Defense.
26)Texans: Reuben Randall, WR, LSU
Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter simply haven't done enough to get the #2 receiver job done. Randall should give opposing defenses fits, as well as keep them from constantly double teaming Andre.
27)Patriots: Harrison Smith, S, Notre Dame
They had Julian Edelman playing safety last year. NUFF SAID.
28)Packers: Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State
This defense lost its way last year, it's time to get back to basics and get some kind of a pass rush going.
29)Ravens: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech.
Will be a beautiful compliment to Torrey Smith in the future for Flacco.
30)49ers: Peter Konz, C/G, Wisconson
They need a little more help on the line, especially since losing Baas last year and not really replacing him.
31)Patriots: Nick Perry, DE/OLB, USC
PASS RUSH PASS RUSH PASS RUSH!!!!!
32)Giants: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio St.
This pick is going to be a doozy, I simply gave what I felt is the best player available at this point. But knowing JR this could go in a thousand different directions (but I will tell you it will NOT be a TE)
jeez u 2 raised the bar and everything. danny would be proud if u know, he was still alive. nick, what makes u think steelers r gonna trade up in the draft since i dont think they have ever done that in their history?
my bad, little over exaggeration with the entire history. but they've only done it 3 times since 1991 so my sources tell me thats not a lot. for comparison eagles have traded in or out of the 1st round 6 of the past 9 years. my point was steelers dont have much of a history doing it, but when they have they've got some pretty good players so maybe they should do it more often!
i am going to introduce a new segment that nick is going to love and has probably already mastered: "Things that wouldn't surprise me."
this segment is not quite as strong as a bold prediction so it does not get as much props if correct, but it is statements that MOST ppl are not predicting yet i could definitly see it happening. here are some of my "thing's that wouldn't surprise me:"
1. eagles move up in the top 10 to get cox. (on the same token, if eagles trade up to get tannehill dont be surprise if i murder someone).
2. tannehill falls out of the top 10. yes, i could see miami passing on him and him falling a la rodgers and brady quinn of years past.
3. mark barron goes in the top 10. everyone knows hes the best saftey in the draft n every team from 13 on would like it, so it wouldnt surprise me to see a team trade up to get him.
4. bradon weedem goes late 1st. i think 2nd is more likely, but like i said this wouldnt surprise me either to see a team in the last 1st draft him.
5. ryan kalil slipping to #10. just look at the sceniaro if the vikes pass on him. browns have joe thomas, no. bucs have donald denn, no. rams? do u think the spend another top pick and another LT? jags? they got eugene monroe. dolphins, jake long. panthers? i think they go D. i think it is entirley possible kalil could slip to #10 and the bills if the vikings pass on him for claiborn.
6. danny no shows at our draft party after tricking i mean promising nick that he would after nick doing photo shop work for him. this is almost as much of a lock as RG3 going to the skins!
2. rams trade steven jackson for asante samuel if richardson falls to them at 6 (especially if claborne and blackmon are gone)
no way jackson gets traded to the eagles. he wants a pay raise and there is no way in hell the eagles trade him with his contract as a backup let alone give him a new deal.
i was talking to bill and mike eariler today, sorry i meant bill simmons and mike lombardi, and they were talking about the rams trading jackson for a low pick and then trading back up to #3 with the vikings for richardson which makes a ton of sense considering how much they already got from the redskins. id rather have richardson and his contract over jackson at this point, plus the extra picks from the skins, but the problem is getting rid of jacksons contract to another team, same thing eagles r running into with samuel.
cuz the eagles rnt gonna pay jackson what he wants to be a backup RB at this point of his career. he wants a pay raise n get 20+ carries not 5 with the eagles.
Giants offense doesn't really rely on the tight end. There's just no need to take a Joker type tight end that early. Now Dwyane Allen at the end of the 2nd is more my speed. The TE's in the Giants offense need to block, Fleener can't. I think Martelleus is gonna have a nice year for the gmen, nothing crazy bout 6-700 yards n 6 or 7 tds, that'd be fine by me.
Since 2006 the TE on the Giants with the most receiving yardage in a single year is Jake Ballard last year with 607, TE is just more of a blocking role in the Giants offense.
In 05 Shockey had 800+ yards, but im pretty sure that was a different coordinator at the time.
well maybe if they had a good one eli could make him into a top weapon, and maybe they havent put up big numbers is because they suck. if eli could turn jake ballard into someone who puts up those numbers imagine what he would do if he had an actual playmkaer. wait that makes too much sense pretend i didnt say this before the giants GM reads this!
“We’ve talked obviously a lot,” Philbin said, via Mike Beradino of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “We’ve had draft meetings. We’ve discussed him as an individual. We’ve watched his film. Obviously Mike [Sherman] has been around Ryan for a long, long time, but it wasn’t like we sat around and said, ‘OK, what about him at eight?’”
Really? Not once in all of these discussions about Tannehill was there a moment when someone asked the room if it made sense to actually draft him?
#IwouldntBeSurprisedIf Asante went to the Cards today :)
cards? u meant falcons right? ya sad to see him go, i really liked asente, but hes 31 years old and getting paid 10mil n hes not very good at what the eagles want to do now which is press coverage. he missed a few games end of last year n eagles won n the d looked the best it did all year. hopefully they can now re-sign mccoy with the extra cap room and also look out for the eagles to draft a corner early in the draft this weekend
danny emailed me his mock, y he didnt post on the forum, who knows but here it is:
Eat it.

the truth about players "rising" and "falling" this late in the draft process:
The truth is he isn’t dropping. The truth is that he was already lower than the media believed. Which, as more information trickles out about the actual content of draft boards, creates the impression that the player is dropping.
That dynamic remains one of the fundamental flaws with the pre-draft process. Draft experts put guys higher than they really are, which unreasonably raises their expectations — and which in turn sets them up for a major letdown when the truth comes out.
So whenever you hear that a guy is rising or falling as the draft approaches, it rarely if ever means any team has changed its views on a player. Instead, it means that the media’s assessment of the player was wrong, and that the true assessments are causing the media to now move a guy up, or to move a guy down.
i am going to introduce a new segment that nick is going to love and has probably already mastered: "Things that wouldn't surprise me."
this segment is not quite as strong as a bold prediction so it does not get as much props if correct, but it is statements that MOST ppl are not predicting yet i could definitly see it happening. here are some of my "thing's that wouldn't surprise me:"
1. eagles move up in the top 10 to get cox. (on the same token, if eagles trade up to get tannehill dont be surprise if i murder someone). Half credit!
2. tannehill falls out of the top 10. yes, i could see miami passing on him and him falling a la rodgers and brady quinn of years past.
3. mark barron goes in the top 10. everyone knows hes the best saftey in the draft n every team from 13 on would like it, so it wouldnt surprise me to see a team trade up to get him.

so looks like i went 3.5 right out of 6 semi bold predictions, not bad!
as far as the mocks go, josh did the best. i did if u got the right player to the right team regardless of draft #. here is how it looked:
josh: 7/32 (very good, better than most "experts")
nick: 5/32 (1/2 credit for somewhat calling decastro going to the steelers if they traded up to 16. always impressive to call ur teams pick when not drafting in the top 10)
danny: 4/32 (way to be then only person to get your own teams pick wrong when every one else in the world had it! guess this is y u claim to not listen to the media cuz there always wrong!)
- love the eagles getting cox. they said they viewed him as a top 6 player so to get him at 12 plus not give up a high pick to move up was a huge win.
- i never seen nick get exicted to draft a guard before. the nick i knew from towson would be pissed if any oline/dlinemen was picked before round 3. guess he is learning.
- obviously way too early to judge but i thought the pats did well. i liekd both of the guys they drafted but im interested to see what they do with hightower and spikes on the field at the same time.
- is gabbert to blackmon the new stafford to megaton? nick better hope so!
- a lot of good players still avaiable in round 2, esp olinemen lets go!
A high-effort player, Upshaw could be a 4-3 defensive end or a 3-4 outside linebacker. A bit of a tweener, he has great strength and productivity.
2. G Cordy Glenn, Georgia [+] EnlargeLavonte David Bruce Thorson/US PresswireLavonte David is a bit undersized at LB.
A versatile player, Glenn is durable and athletic. He has good footwork and can hold up against the rush.
3. LB Lavonte David, Nebraska
Undersized for a linebacker, David simply makes plays on the football field. He has the speed to play from sideline to sideline.
4. TE Coby Fleener, Stanford
The No. 1 tight end in the draft is still out there. Fleener is fast enough to stretch the deep middle and has sure hands.
5. C Peter Konz, Wisconsin
The top center in this draft, Konz is athletic for the position. Issues for him are staying healthy and improving upper-body strength.
6. DT Jerel Worthy, Michigan State
A strong player, Worthy can make plays in the backfield. In the right defensive scheme, he'll be a real asset.
7. T Bobby Massie, Mississippi
A right tackle for three years in the SEC, he could have been an elite tackle in next year's class if he had stayed in school. Projects as a left tackle in the NFL.
8. DT Derek Wolfe, Cincinnati
Wolfe has impressive pass-rushing ability and is an elite athlete. He can fit in a 4-3 or 3-4 defense.
9. T Jonathan Martin, Stanford
Martin did an excellent job protecting Andrew Luck's blind side for three seasons. He has the size, experience and overall athleticism you look for in a starting left tackle. Needs to be more physical.
10. CB Janoris Jenkins, North Alabama
Has slid this far only because of off-field issues. On the field, he has good hip flexibility and is a solid cover corner. Also a good punt returner.
For first time ever, player jerseys were customized on site Posted by Mike Florio on April 27, 2012, 9:54 AM EDT get-attachment-1
Backstage last night at Radio City Music Hall, well before the Chiefs’ selection with the 11th pick in the draft was announced, I saw someone carrying a red jersey with white letters and yellow trim that had the name “POE” on the back. I resisted the temptation (unlike another guy in the media who repeatedly took a page from his apple-eating Biblical namesake) to broadcast the pick via Twitter. Besides, I was more curious about something else.
How many different jerseys with “POE” on the back were in the building, and how could I finagle one of them?
League spokesman Brian McCarthy has supplied the answer: None.
For the first time ever, Nike was customizing the jerseys on site. Thus, for any of the 26 men in the green room, a jersey would have been instantly prepared for any team taking any player.
Brian sent along the picture of the process, with the names of each player ready to be printed up and applied to the back of the jerseys.
So there will be no collector’s items this year or, apparently, in any future years, like the Colts jersey bearing the name and number of Ryan Leaf, which Dan Patrick has in his studio.
I was estatic with the draft last night, but that doesnt mean there arent some things that make me nervous. for this occasion i will bring back the HOT/NOT list:
HOT -Steelers patiently waiting for the best guard in the entire draft. Their GM Kevin Colbert this morning said they tried several times to trade up, especially ahead of cincy, to get decastro and they couldnt believe he fell to them. yes, guard is about as sexy as charlotte in a bikini with armpit hair, but i couldnt be more happy that they took him. mentioned them trading up for him in my mock but they didnt need to. A+
-the browns complete FAIL of a first round. i mentioned the steelers patience got them an A+, well the browns inpatience gets them a D-. They traded up with the vikes just to ensure they would get richardson, with a very good chance he would fall to them anyways. then they reached for a 28 year old QB who honestly prolly isnt much better than colt mccoy if he had weapons. they could have gotten him in the second, no patience shown.
-the amount of trades in the top-10. was fun watching so many teams move around in the top-10 considering it had no impact on the steelers
-the pats stealing hightower away before the ratbirds could get him
-ill give the nod to the iggles for cox, the best interior DL in the draft
-some people had david wilson to the steelers in the second. hes a great player and if the giants wanted him which they obviously did it would be tough to trade up from 32 in the second round for him
NOT -the patriots had a great first round and will be an even tougher out this year
-even thou i loved that the ravens didnt pick in the first round, i still think they get the man they were looking for. they pick 3rd tonight and will either take upshaw, hill or glenn.
"charlotte in a bikini with armpit hair," whoa. i just threw up while erm got a boner. moving on, i dont think the browns did that bad considering they got richardson who might be the best player in the draft. yes they traded a few picks when they might not of had to, but i was reading they had 13 total picks from the trades with atlanta last year plus other teams so giving a few away to move up wasnt a big deal to me.
we'll see about weedon, they obviously realized colt mccoy isnt the answer so they had to make a move. as the steelers have shown u can get a good wr in the 3rd round so lets see who they draft today before we grade them on these moves. if they dont get a good wr then watch up weedon, ur gonna be 30 before u have anyone good to throw to haha
There’s a good chance that Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu will be off the board by the end of Friday night, but for a brief moment he thought he was a first-round draft pick.
Sanu was watching the draft with his family on Thursday night when his phone rang. The Bengals were on the clock for the 27th pick, and the voice on the phone said that he was from the Bengals and that they would be selecting Sanu. As you might imagine, Sanu’s draft party exploded in joy that stopped just long enough for them to watch Roger Goodell announce the pick.
Which was Kevin Zeitler, an offensive lineman from Wisconsin.
“This is a great kid, I guarantee you, and someone played a cruel joke on him,” Sanu’s agent Mike McCartney, who tweeted that Sanu would be a Bengal before the true pick was known, told Peter King of SI.com. “It is unreal that someone would do that, but it happened.”
Per McCartney, Sanu’s in good spirits despite the prank and excited to join a team that does want him. He’s probably going to be asking for a little more background information from callers on Friday night, though.
not sure. obviously mock drafts r pointless after the 1st trade happens n yesterday almost every top 10 pick had a trade in it. who had dallas getting claiborn in any of the 1,000's of mocks out there? yesterday shows there fun but completly pointless and a waste of so much time haah
The Dolphins acquire Ryan Tannehill with the eighth overall pick. And in the long run, everyone who played quarterback musical chairs ended up getting a quarterback. The Browns and Dolphins appeared to be left out, but they both used first-round picks on Thursday night to overdraft players in the hopes of finding their franchise guy. They didn't. Tannehill has an NFL arm and prototypical size, but he hasn't exhibited NFL-caliber accuracy and didn't get nearly the number of college reps he needed to step right in at the professional level. New Dolphins coach Joe Philbin might be able to mold him into a viable starter, but that's not going to happen in 2012, which makes Miami owner Stephen Ross's obsession with acquiring an exciting talent to sell tickets utterly ridiculous. Nobody's going to buy season tickets in Miami to see Ryan Tannehill hold a clipboard all season. Miami could have drafted DeCastro or Luke Kuechly and upgraded a lacking part of their lineup; instead, they used the eighth overall pick on a lottery ticket.
thats funny. so homeland security allows u to get this webite huh? i hope they cant read everything we write on here, i thought the toliet sticky thing protected us from everything!
