honestly i would have rather bought a house than a damn engagement ring. that **** set my househunting back a couple years. houses are the best investments in the world and i would much rather be a 27yo homeowner than fiancee. my boy steve is married with a house, he is doing it right.
well in my defense i actually talked to danny about 2 weeks ago and he told me he bought a house and is moving in there with keri at the end of the month (i think) and he would have proposed by now if he had the money so its only a matter of time.
i am very surprised nickerson is not engaged yet, he was talking about proposing to her a year and a half ago when we lived in riverside so im not sure whats going on with that.
man i feel real old, my best friend from home got engaged about 2 months ago and is getting married next october, my best gf from college chelsea is also getting married the week after and im pretty sure she is going to invite me to that. nick gets engaged so thats 3. throw in joe/marry n danny/keri which should both be in the next 6 months and that will make 5 of my close friends getting married within a year time period. oh yea lets not forget mikey and boobatosa, i'm sure thats going to happen in the next year as well.

haha in the grand scheme of things we are not old. when we are 40 we are going to look back and say dammit i wish i was 27! thats soooo young! age is all relevant to how old you are. no we are not kids any more but we certainly arent old.
also, 27 is pretty young to be getting married. other than the slores who get pregnant at 16, or the ones who have the HS (steven)/college (me, danny, robbie, mikey) sweetheart, a lot of ppl wait until much later to get married, especially these days.

makes me feel slightly better, still feel old tho. im obviously nowhere close to getting engaged but i can get a house when i want since i work for a mortgage company and have enough $ saved up, i just dont know where i want to live long term. not sure when i turn 30 im gonna still want to be hitting up mad river every weekend haha. (thinking) ok ya i will. guess we'll see what happens.
speaking of kearns, he is dating audrey now. guess we all should have seen that one coming, i think she is the only girl he could ever put up with for more than a few minutes and audrey is the only girl who can tolerate him period. lets add him to the list only it will be audrey who proposes to kearns who then will shrug his shoulders and say "**** it, why not." haha

another one down from this list from 2 years ago! took nickerson a lot longer than expected back when we (sorta) lived with him at riverside but add another wedding to my list that i will be attenting. danny/keri will also be coming up which will be at least 3 from this list and josh you can tell us how close you are. i went from going to 2 weddings by age 27 to probably 10 within the next 2 years.
my guess is motz for best man and kearns will be in it as well, do you think me or josh make the cut?
Im not on the horizon for a while I just emptied my life's savings into the house I bought. Got a Mikey wildcard in there too possibly. Though by process of elimination, I guess I'm closest to next on that list.
ya joes brothers are a lot younger than him. one is like 6 and the other is in high school i think, so now that i think about it, the odds might be even lower for them.
mary's brother will definetly be in the wedding but for best man, i still think he goes motz over him. if DD had a brother that you were cool with would you pick him over someone like erm or steve that you grew up with? motz knew joe was gonna propose before he even left for this italy trip, he is easily the fav here.
I wrote this post almost exactly 3 years ago from today and to answer my own question about wanting to go to mad river every weekend once I turn 30 I can definitely say the answer is... NOPE! haven't even been back out in fed since I left 8 months ago. glad I have grown up over the past 3 years, I kinda like going back and reading some of these old comments from our past. now why am I reading these old ass post....

...because for the first time ever, allie asked me a in a non joking way about eventually getting married (*gulp*). while we have been together for just over 2 years now, I still feel like that is really not that long of a time and there is no rush, however she is 29 and eventually wants kids and is starting to push us in this direction. I am obviously not against this, but I really don't want to deal with the bs of planning a wedding and to be honest I am not looking forward to the wedding day at all since I hate being the center of attention esp in a big event like this. I know allie wants a fall wedding so I gotta put this proposing thing off for another 6 months so then the earliest we would get married is the fall of 2018 but this is the beginning of the end for me boys!

yeah I'm not surprised at all allie brought it up, if anything im surprised she hasn't brought it up sooner. I'm sure I will start thinking about it in the next 6 months but for now, I wanna see what happens with a little more time. yes 2 years is a good amount of time, but at the same time I feel like its not and i dont want to rush a potential life long decision cuz she is starting "to feel old" so another 6 months should be good and i'll go from there.
as for the faking, PUUULLLEEAASSEE. coming from the guy who texted me last Thursday night asking what my plans were and getting me hype and then the next morn you acted like you never sent it haha. I said from the beginning the plans were to go to philly and that only changed once Mo said he couldn't get the tix. but now it looks like he is so sorry id rather go to the game and figure out a different weekend for bmore or maybe I can come to dc.
