A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that Jackson has agreed to a five-year deal with a base value of $48.5 million. Jackson also gets $15 million fully guaranteed.
He gets $10 million to sign, along with a $750,000 base salary and a $250,000 workout bonus in 2012.
In 2013, Jackson receives a $6.75 million base salary, $4 million of which is fully guaranteed. The other $2.75 million is guaranteed for injury only. He also will receive a $250,000 workout bonus, which increases the two-year take to $18 million.
Sounds about right for Mike Wallace. steelers could easily work that contract
i like the deal. seems fair considering the market and his talents.
hes one of those guys who just matches well what the eagles do and vise versa. eagles struggle without him on the field n i dont know how effective he would be in another offense. finally hes paid so no more distractions!

Bills signed DE/OLB Mario Williams. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the move will be officially announced at a 12:30PM ET press conference. Contract terms are not yet available, but the Bills are widely expected to make Williams the highest-paid defensive player in NFL history. Bears RE Julius Peppers has held the honor since March 2010, where he signed a six-year, $84 million deal that included $42 million guaranteed. It's a safe bet Williams' deal will dwarf those numbers.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the San Francisco 49ers have emerged as one of the three finalists to sign free agent quarterback Peyton Manning.
The other two teams are the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans. According to Schefter, the Arizona Cardinals “have been advised that they are to proceed as if they will not get Peyton Manning.”
We already knew the Dolphins were out.
Schefter, who broke the 49ers news on SportsCenter early Friday afternoon, reported that San Francisco secretly sent club officials to watch Manning throw at Duke University last Tuesday night. The 49ers’ representatives were said to be “very impressed with what they saw.”
The Niners have already given Manning a physical.
And this explains whey they haven’t re-signed free agent quarterback Alex Smith yet.
ill be pissed if he does goes there, keep him out of the nfc!
it was interesting pft said something about the 49ers this morning comparing it to nnamdi last year. florio said on the day nnamdi made up his mind it was always going down to the jets and cowboys...until the eagles got him. he compared that to manning with the broncos and the titans being the finalst...unless the 49ers get him haha.
that would be so dangerous, and remember moss is there too
