haha love it.

Not mo much questions just general dicussion. i really need to see it again but it was f-ing sweet how dark and badass this one was.

so did the dude from inception become the new robin at the end or was he robin all along during the movie just no one (including him and batman) knew it?

Basically the way I see it is this..

In comics when they want to write a story that takes some liberties from the normal origin, they call it an Elseworlds tale.

In my mind i see it as exactly that.

Pretty much the 3rd rock from the sun dude is just this "universes" version of Robin.

Where in normal continuity he's an acrobat whose parents are murdered and Bruce Wayne adopts him, here he's a cop who still lost both his parents at a young age but instead of being adopted was raised in an orphanage.

so ur boy saw batman yesterday!  thought it was great and let me be the 10,090,006 person to say it was not as good as the 2nd.  i wished i watched batman begins more recently because i have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to movies and it seemed like a majority of #3 related to #1 so i got lost at parts i shouldnt have. a lot more flashbacks in this movie and i barley remember any in #2.  with that said, josh wtf does ur explaination to nick's robin question mean?  i want an answer like "yes, he was robin all along," not a college theisis statement.  i thought robin was trained by batman and then they worked together? in this movie batman is "dead" n robin is just starting, whats the deal with that?

In essence, this isn't your standard batman.

This is another version, with a slightly different story then the one you know from the comics.

In the comics Dick Grayson (Robin) was a trapeze artist with his mother and father. They were killed during a highwire stunt, and then bruce adopts him and trains him to be his side kick.

In this movie, the storyline is different.

This is a much more grounded in reality version of batman.

Therefore the original robin storyline wouldn't really fit here.

So in this universe it plays out different.

Here's some examples of "other" universes...

Here's batman if he was born in Communist Russia

This is "Red Robin" this is from an alternate universe where Robin has grown up and gone out on his own

The easiest way to look at it, this is not the original batman. These movies have been "What if batman took place in a more realistic world" how would what happens in the comics play out there?

Thus the settings and origins for most things are played out in a more realistic fashion.
