3rd rounder for eman for a 1 year deal is crazy and there has to be more to the story.  pats dont just give away draft picks like this.

 and here it is:

Emmanuel Sanders - WR - Steelers

An anonymous AFC executive expects the Patriots to sign restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders to a long-term contract if the Steelers to decline to match their one-year, $2.5 million offer sheet.

"I don't believe for a second that Bill Belichick is giving up a third-round pick for Sanders for only one year," the exec told Yahoo's Jason Cole. Such a move would be considered dirty pool around the league, but is not illegal. The "fair" way to conduct such a transaction would be to sign Sanders to his long-term deal from the get-go, giving the Steelers a chance to match the true parameters of the agreement. Per Cole, Sanders is believed to be the first RFA in league history to sign a one-year offer sheet with a new team. The one-year arrangement is in the Pats' favor because the Steelers are right up against the salary. In a normal long-term agreement, Sanders' first-year cap number would likely be lower than $2.5 million.

sherman is becoming hard to like.  every time he talks he sounds like an idiot and hes a standford grad:

Richard Sherman said Thursday on the NFL Network that he "didn't say" half of the NFL's players were using Adderall, as a newspaper reported he said, but instead he said many players have prescriptions to use the drug, which is used to treat ADHD, and said he's never taken it himself.

The Seattle Seahawks cornerback, who was suspended last season for allegedly using Adderall only to have the ban overturned on appeal, said Thursday on the NFL Network's "NFL AM" program that a "bunch" of players have been prescribed the drug.

i guess this proves the theory that nfl guys who get tested positive for roids are using adderall as an excuse since he basically admitted that is what he did.

So this weekend Eli and Peyton put on a QB clinic at Duke. Im sure you've also heard that Decker/Demaryius/Nicks/Cruz etc. were all there working with Eli and Peyton respectively. Well Peyton pulled a prank on Decker and sent him this "invoice"

the over turn was because the lab mishandled his urine sample, nothing to do with not testing positive for a banned drug whether it was adderall or worse.

huh? it was overturned for a reason. whether it was positive or negative well never know but a lab mishandling urine samples is def cause for a positive test to be thrown out and questioned.

ha, looks like he got out just in time.  these things happen in every single major program it just depends on how long/hard the investors want to look into it before finding something. doesn't effect eagles but might effect how much i can rock my oregon jacket next year for st. patties month!

move on nothing to see here.

jason peters, mike vick, todd herrmans on Offense and on d we got demecco ryans and trent cole.

i know ur trying to be slick rick over here and make a joke of this but i think after last years 8-8 steelers season that featured a new quote every week about how they lost a lot of leaders and other guys needed to step up and it didn't happen you now realize this is an important part of football

Speaking of SLick Rick, I saw him play at the Nets/Knicks game back in November... he was very drunk and incoherent.

Im just happy the Eagles decided to get rid of Jenkins and Patterson for some reason. Very happy they're Giants now.

coaches aren't leaders.  don't you remember rex ryan's "goddamn snack" speech from last year where he said he could only do so much and it was time for the players to take the lead?

GM Buddy Nix doesn't believe the Bills would be reaching if they took a quarterback at No. 8 overall.
Oh boy. "This quarterback class is better than everybody thinks it," Nix insisted Tuesday. "Five or six of those guys — maybe seven — do a lot of things good and do them good enough to win. ... I've said this from the start, that two or three of these guys will be franchise quarterbacks. I believe that." The Bills are considered likely to come away with an early-round QB, but not at No. 8. The fact that Nix is already conducting PR on a pick he fears could be labeled a reach should change that, however. Coach Doug Marrone has been heavily connected to his college QB Ryan Nassib, but he'd be a massive reach at No. 8. Perhaps the Bills will trade back on day one, or trade up on day two, where they pick at No. 41.

that reeks of desperation.

yeah hes either trying to stir up some trades or cover his ass if they pick nassib.

is this a PFT article? if so i think its hilarious that florio picked nassib to the bills at 8 in his personal mock draft on PFT live today then his coworker calls him a massive reach.

my ryan mallett of this draft is tyler bray from tenn. i wouldnt mind the steelers grabbing him late. mock draft coming 4/24

is this guy high:

Andre Brown sets some big goals for 2013 season

Green Bay Packers v New York Giants

As we reported earlier this week, Giants running back Andre Brown signed an injury protection agreement that allows him to work out with the team even though he hasn’t signed his restricted free agent tender yet.

“I have to outdo last year’s stats. Eight touchdowns — I want 22. I want 1,300 (yards) this year,” Brown said, via the team’s website. “That’s the steppingstone. I have to erase last year’s stats and show I can do better.”

Forget John Tuggle we need to learn more about the tumultuous career of Andre Brown!

First stint with the Giants

Brown was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. He suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon during training camp on August 14, which forced him to miss his rookie season. He was placed on injured reserve on September 1, 2009. Brown was waived by the Giants on September 4, 2010.[1]

Denver Broncos

On September 5, 2010, Brown was claimed off waivers by the Denver Broncos, waived on September 15, and then signed to the Broncos' practice squad on September 17, 2010. On September 21, 2010 Brown was signed to the active roster, and Lance Ball was waived.[2] Brown himself was waived on October 16, 2010. In four regular season games with the Broncos, Brown played in three but only amassed statistics in one (two rushes for a total of minus one yard in a 31-17 road loss to the Baltimore Ravens on October 10, 2010).[3]

Indianapolis Colts

Brown was claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts on October 18, 2010. Brown was moved to the Colts active roster on November 6, 2010, then waived on November 9, 2010. Brown did not amass any statistics in his only game with the Colts, a 26-24 road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on November 7, 2010.[3]

Carolina Panthers

Brown was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers on November 9, 2010, and then waived on November 16, 2010.[1] Brown did not play in his only game with the Panthers, a 31-16 road loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 14, 2010.[3]

Washington Redskins

On November 24, 2010, Brown was signed by the Washington Redskins and added to their active roster.[4] He was released on July 28, 2011.[5]

Second stint with the Giants

On August 3, 2011, Brown re-signed with the New York Giants.[6] He was waived on September 3, but re-signed the next day to the practice squad. On February 5, 2012, Brown and the Giants won Super Bowl 46 against the New England Patriots. After the game Brown became known for his celebratory song, "I got a ring", he and his teammates sang on the plane ride home and at the parade the following week.

In March of 2012, Brown was hit with a four-game suspension by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. [7] He later claimed it was a result of Adderall use [8] and eventually won an appeal, having his suspension lifted. [9]

On September 16, after starter Ahmad Bradshaw was knocked out of the game with a neck injury, Brown rushed for 71 yards on 13 carries, converting a two-point conversion and scoring the game-winning touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.[10]

On September 20 of 2012, Brown stepped in as the starter for the Giants against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Brown rushed for 113 yards on 20 carries, scoring two rushing touchdowns. He also had 3 receptions for 17 yards.

On November 25, he suffered a broken fibula in the fourth quarter on a Sunday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers at MetLife Stadium, effectively ending his season. He ended the season, where he participated in 10 games, with 73 carries for 385 yards, with a 5.3 yard per carry average, after only 2 carries in the previous 3 seasons. He was eventually placed on injured reserve.[

The Chiefs have given the Dolphins permission to negotiate with LT Branden Albert.
This will set the wheels in motion quickly. The Chiefs reportedly want a second-round pick for Albert, who is in search of a long-term deal and a home at left tackle. After losing Jake Long to the Rams, the Dolphins appear very interested in accommodating. They have two second-round picks and plenty of money under the cap thanks to the back-loading of their free-agency signings. Albert will take a physical with Miami and begin contract talks.

It's tough to say. It's come out that the Bucs were literally the only team trying to get Revis. So I guess in that respect getting a 1 and a 3 from a team basically bidding against itself is pretty good. But on the other hand, he was arguably the best defensive player in the NFL and Percy netted more value than he did. In the end I'd say its probably even.

the good thing for the bucs is theres no guarenteed money. its 1.5 a year roster bonus, 1.5 workout bonus and 13 base salary. so they can cut him if he starts bitching without owing him any money. of course they wont cause they gave up a 1 and 3 but its really team friendly from a contract standpoint. if he starts holding out for guarentees thats a different story

im sure their gonna sign him long term.  the whole reason the jets traded him was cuz they didnt think they could re-sign him and the bus wouldnt give up 2 high picks for a 1-2 year guy

gonna have to cut someone or re-work some deals.  pretty crazy they are that close to the edge which is why those cap penalties from last year really screwed them.
