any idea if this weekend is going to featuring some tanning weather??

ok sounds good. sucks the heat game is on friday and sunday night.  i want to watch it but i doubt i am going to remember any of it!

exactly 1 year ago this week (and today in particular) we were gearing up for another epic weekend.  MDW is always great due to getting monday off which is always the best and usually ranges on the epic scale between "great time at worst case and best weekend of the summer."  with nick and erm unable to commit to an OC weekend due to the fact they are going to the same city a month and a half later with a compleltely different group of people () I am very disapointed to say this weekend will not compare to last year.  regardless, with this weekend being the unoffical start to summer i am hoping for a couple good days of sun which will equal the pool being open and giving me even more of an excuse to drink the enitre day and stare at gym girls through my stunnas.  i will also not have to expirence the worst day of the year aka OC Monday after MDW weekend which consists of nothing other than being way too hung over, traffic and disapoitment.  with that said, i will still miss OC MDW this year, hopefully we can plan at least 1 weekend there this summer at some point and get back at it next year.  since today is thursday back thursday, hopefully we can re-read this classic story and get a good laugh...

Dear Jim,

Allow me to introduce myself. I was a member of the group who rented your semi-competitive boardwalk property over the Memorial Day weekend. I have received your email regarding the security deposit that will not be returned. After reviewing the charges, please allow me to explain how some of these expenses occurred.

We refuse to pay for the Extra Cleaning charge because the seagulls who left the mess were uninvited. My friend Joe left an empty pizza box on the deck before we left for the beach and they were looking for leftovers. Luckily, the 8 cats my girlfriend brought to protect the condo while we were gone scared the seagulls away before we returned. We did however quickly learn a lesson and threw away the pizza box immediately.

We would have steamed the carpets, however we accidentally mistook “Bring your own steam cleaner” for “check-out is at 3 pm” on the lease. I don’t completely understand what the Time and Mileage charge is for. If we are paying for each others gas during the trip I will need $637.00 for the drive from North Jersey.

Also, I would like to request that you pay me back for the Firecracker popsicle I left in the freezer, which was not there when we arrived. This is a great selling point to future guests. I paid $2.50 for it and I would appreciate it if you could add that to the money we are getting back.

If you wanted the property returned in the same “or better” condition than when we arrived, you should have included this in the lease. Our group consisted of a carpenter, a plumber and a house nanny. We would have been happy to make some improvements to the condo during our stay as compensation for our lost deposit. We attempted to build a slide from the balcony directly to the beach, but I left the correct size wrench at home. I apologize for being so forgetful, thus not contributing any significant improvements to the property.

Lastly, if you are not convinced that we should receive more than $34.50, please make individual checks for $6.66 out to each member of the group. We lived together when we paid for the trip but have since moved apart and cannot collect our money from Ermyas.

ya im not happy about it either but i also didnt want to just go with random friends n crash.  i was invited to a few spots and stay with them but at 28 years old im not trying to crash on the floor or share a bed with 3 other ppl like we did when we were 24. anyway, hopefully we set SOMETHING up this summer but for now it's time to reflect on our best OC memories and pretend we are going this weekend.

5.  this wasnt fun at the time but it was sure funny as hell and great to think back on:  the italian who never slept throughout the weekend but instead stalked the crappy hotel parking lot waiting to kick out drunk people from his rooms.  i'll never forget that guy

4. santa's condo.  that place was just great and i enjoyed almost every minute of it including beer pong the second we got there on the balconey and late  night bleezys watching the sunrise (is that gay?).

3. 2 shot max at every bar with the crew and trying to get DD to do body shots at all of them until she was ready to kill me

2. holiday inn pool bar and secrets with the crew last year.  nothing in particular stands out but when your with 15-20 of your friends that you don't see often it's always a good time

what was 3-6 last year?  was that after secrets coming home?

haha ya i dont remember much of that at all.  not sure why i left secrets by myself but i remember walking home and stopping by 711 for some chilly dawgs and got picked up by mitch who was driving and saw me coming home eating my dawg.  by the time i got back to our spot you and erm were both passed the F out haha

ya man im pumped too, hopefully we meet up at some point.  as of now all I know is I'm going down with a few of my bmore boys real late Thursday night (like midnight-ish) and we got a condo for 8-10 of us.  I believe the plan as of now is to drink/smoke/chill Thursday night and then wake up early Friday and go to seacrets all day.  not sure what the plans are for Saturday, one of my boys said he would be down to go back to seacrets and my other one said no way but I don't have to chill with them the whole time.  back to back all day events at seacrets might be a little aggressive so i'll see how I feel.  we def have to do some late night yes chants/cartwheels into the ocean at say 1am?  regardless, just keep me posted and we'll try to figure something out.

also, who is going to be there out of your crew that I know other than erm and Robbie?

have you heard anything about the weather?  when I was in florida the news was saying a storm might be coming from florida up north

hmm, guess we'll see what happens.  how far is your place from where I'm staying?

u staying in a bunch of hotel rooms or 1 big condo?

jesus that's a lot of dudes in one place!  hope your guys are more successful in keeping it in good condition than we were at santa's crib.  just remember, its always the seagulls fault.

im def crashing one of the nights if everyone is bringing seagulls back!
