bold prediction: Eagles give up the most points in one season in NFL history
haha i just saw this. ur right, based off the preseason this might not be a bad prediction, but only idiots think we go off preseason!
with that said, i listened to cousin sal and bill simmons give out their afc over/under predictions and both agree the steelers are in trouble this year. so its final, steelers are missing the playoffs again.

1) Reggie Bush breaks the record for receptions in a single season by a running back. (101 by Larry Centers for ARZ in 95')
2)Jonathan Cyprien (S, JAX) will win Defensive Rookie of the Year
3)I think no one wins OROY this year because everyone is blah, no but really I giess I'll give it to E.J. Manuel.
4)The Browns will boast a top 5 defense this year.
5)Miles Austin has a bounce back year catching 11 tds and 1100 yards.
6)Sam Bradford will make people believe he's a franchise QB again. (repeat from last year but with him finally having the same OC two years in a row I expect decent things)
7)Larry Fitzgerald wins comeback player of the year.
8)AP will break 2000 yards rushing again.
9)Hakeem Nicks finishes the year with 1200 yards receiving and 12 td's and avoids injury.
10)Geno Smith will throw 8 tds and 20 ints on the year. And I feel that is a conservative guess.

- Eagles make the biggest jump from 4-12 to i'm thinking 9-7 or 10-6 and sneak in as east champs. Not only a homer pick, but one i think can realisticlly happen. new coach with an offense that is really going to surprise people with a ton of skill position players and a good oline that is finally healthy. obviously the defense is the issue but the eagles turned over the ball way too much last year but with a healthy oline and kelly having vick making easier reads i think that helps take off some pressure from the eagles just by not having them in short field siutations and putting more points on the board.
- when one team rises another team falls and i think it will be the skins. lets remember, they were 5-6 last year before they made their big run and really over achieved. there still a young team so it wouldnt be crazy to see them start off slow and i dont care if RG3 being cleared i doubt he will be doing the same things as last year and running all over the field which will take away from their offense. they have a real tough schedule n they're is always a team that goes from the playoffs to a 4-12 or 5-11 record such as the lions last year.
- I think saints have the best record in the NFC at 12-4 or 13-3. They went 7-9 last year with NO coach and no they get a top 5 coach back which is worth 4-5 wins right there. on top of that, there D can't be much worse from last year so its gonna be between them and ATL fighting for the 1 seed kinda like san fran and seattle did last year.
- idk what it is but i am not sold on russell wilson as everyone else just yet. i dont think he is going to have a bad year or anything but i also dont see him being on andrew lucks or kapernicks level either. i know he was a rookie last year but he wasnt very good for a large strech of the year last year and i think he falls back to average this year. however, he was a monster those last 2 playoffs games so i could be dead wrong.
mccoy: ppl forget he lead the league in tds 2 years ago for a coach who ran the ball 40% of the time and some games gave him less than 15 carries/game the majority of the time. with a new focus on speed, tempo and space, i cant say it strongly enough i think he has a monster year. and oh yeah, his 4 starting olinemen are back and healthy including jason peters. MVP? ok ill settle down.
matt forte comes back and has a strong year. he looked great in the preseason and the bears brought in some new linemen including kyle long so i think hes another one with a big year.
the 2 wr's who are going to break out this year in the nfc are dez bryant as a top 5 wr and randell cobb as a 90-100 catch guy.
doug martin isnt going to have the type of year ppl think hes going to have. i think his numbers were really slanted last year based off a few monster games and im willing to bet most of his games hes had less than 60-75 yards. actually, let me look this up.... ok 8 games where he had 75 yards or less and 7 games with a YPC under 3.5 for the game. just dont see how you can compare him with someone like mccoy or foster.
vikings are another team that take a big step back. not sure how the hell they won 10 games last year and ponder is not the answer. id be surprised if they went any better than 7-9
everyone thinks the nfc west is the best division in football top to bottom but i actually think this year it will be the nfc south. bucs and panthers are better than the cards and the rams and i acutally think the saints and falcons are dead even or even better than the 49ers and seattle.
ok AFC. hate the wild card picks but i dont like any of the other options.
i'll start with the AFC north, wouldnt surprise me to see any of the top 3 win the division or miss the playoffs in general. i feel the saftest with the bengals because they have a strong D and a lot of playmakers on O. my problem with them is andy dalton, i just dont see him being a good enough qb to lead them far in the playoffs.
i've already said my prediction on the ravens, major step back and i think will miss the playoffs altogether. they lost too much leadership in ed reed, ray lewis and bolin and yes nick this is very important. flacco is not a good enough qb to win games by himself like an arron rodgers is and in reality this is a 9-7 team last year that got extremely hot in the playoffs. i expect them to be right around the same record in 8-8 or 9-7 and miss the playoffs the last game of the season.
ahh the steelers. i honestly have no idea what to think of them. i think their oline isnt good, their wr's are average at best, their best RB is a rookie and hurt for maybe half the year but yet they have big ben so they're gonna be in it to the end. im all in on the ravens missing the playoffs which by default means steelers are in somehow. with that said, if this team goes 7-9 i wouldnt be surprised at all.
i think the cheifs are being very overrated. while i agree they won't be 2-14 again i actually think a majority of people are picking them to make the playoffs as oppose to miss it at this point. maybe im still mad at andy for the last 2 years but the eagles were very poorly coached last year with all the turnovers and penalties and now your giving them a 2-14 team? alex smith is not a good qb so hes not going to help dwayne bowe and i actually think jamal charles carries go down since andy throws so much. nill be surprised if they make the playoffs.
colts were the toughest choice for me. while there is no chance they go 11-5 again with being a young team and having so much crazy luck last year i also think luck is going to have a big year which should mean they're going to be good again. i could see 8-8 or i could see 10-6 but for now i think they take a step back and miss the playoffs.
chargers you say? yes, the chragers. i was high on their coaching hire in mccoy and i think he really helps rivers in the way he helped the broncos with tebow and then manning the past 2 years make the playoffs. somehow they sneak in as a 6th seed
von miller missing for the broncos will have little or no impact on them during the regualr season and they cruise to another 1 seed. manning is the best regular season qb of all time.

from 9/4. props to your boy. why hasn't espn called me yet for their preseason prediction segment?

not bad. way off on the nicks prediction who has been killing my fantasy team all year long.
I bet the jets wish they didn't put sanchize in that preseason game in the 4th quarter with all the back ups. 1. sanchez is probably better than smith and they killed his career there and 2. geno really needs to time to develop and just sit and watch. jets don't have a single playmaker on offense so it makes it hard for a rookie qb to do anything.
Oh yeah that Nicks guess blew up in my face big time, no doubt.
They just shouldn't have drafted Geno there period, if they didn't they could have had; Robert Woods, Le'Veon Bell, Kiko Alonso, Eddie Lacy, Keenan Allen

didn't think andy would bounce back so quickly but he proved me wrong. glad it worked out for both him and the eagles.
colts got lucky playing in the worst division in football but still impressive. andrew luck is a top notch qb and is going to take a lot to keep him out of the playoffs going forward.
