- they definitly seem like good friends. they texted each other it seemed every few days asking what they were up to and where they were going that night
- i would say about 90% of the texts were about smashing chicks or drinking...in order to smash some chicks haha. also a lot of it was in-season and not just offseason. i guess it makes sense, these guys are around each other all day so when they are not the only thing to really talk about is going out.
- multiple texts talking about being blacked out which doesnt surprise me with incognito.
- a few mentions of drugs which could be trouble. incognito told martin he needed to chip in for the blow when they were in vegas haha, and something about smoking at pouncey.
- man i wish i was in the NFL after hearing about all these trips these guys go on (ingconitio went from FL to hawaii, to cali, to vegas to brazil in the offseason) and how every week was new girls who they were hooking up with. so jealous right now
yeah read the highlights of the texts and its not good for martin. not only are those texts normal for football players but for anyone with money between 18-35. not sure why martin put so much blame on incognito its starting to sound like his agent and parents were the ones runing incognitos career for no reason.
that pic is hilarious. theres an even funnier one of him taking a snap haha.
Report: Texans “initially leaning” toward Manziel or Bortles

With the Super Bowl in the books, the offseason speculation can officially begin.
So other than the Seahawks having a parade this week, that means all eyes will be on the Texans, the owners of the first pick in the draft.
Their need for a quarterback to replace Matt Schaub seems obvious, and according to Russ Lande of Sports on Earth, they’re “initially leaning” toward either Central Florida’s Blake Bortles or Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel.
The report cites some potential unease about new coach Bill O’Brien about all the off-field stuff that comes with Manziel, who would doubtless be a huge hit if he stayed in his home state.
fish our manziel/bortles debate could come down to the wire!
getting back to the martin story, the texts definitly do not favor him at all. all it proved to me was that they were boys and liked going out with each other n getting wasted haha. now that is not the whole story obviously, it could have been much different in the locker room when they were around everyone else and things could have been much different and martin could have been picked on a lot more. but damn based on this incgonito got badly portayed by the media.
still not scared of seattle. haha just playing, their defense really impressed everyone this playoffs obviously, but going into the playoffs they looked beatable. arizona week 16 went in there and won even with palmer throwing 4 picks, and i definitely didnt want to play san fran who is just as good as seattle but didnt have home field advantage. looking bad on this year i think eagles blew a chance vs the saints to do some damage in the playoffs. the saints was a last second FG game so anyone could have won that won, then i really think they could have beaten CAR on the road in week 2 and then put up a fight vs seattle. i doubt they would have won but it would have been better than 43-8 thats for sure. i guess i cant complain too much after going 4-12 last year, but you never know whats going to happen year by year cuz of injuries and this was the healthiest ive ever seen an eagles team by the end of the year so it was a little disapointing losing round 1 vs a team you can beat.
i took a look at eagles schedule next year and it looks brutal. obviously things will change from now until when we actually play them but here is how it looks as of now:
- all 4 games vs the NFC west which obviously includes the super bowl champs, probably the 2nd best team in the league, and the 10-6 cardinals who probably would have been the 2nd or 3rd best team in the AFC. and oh ya, if the rams get a QB they're no cakewak either. luckily every team in the nfc east has to play these 4 teams as well.
- however, when you get 1st place one year, you get a 1st place schedule the next. eagles 2 games are going to be vs 1st place GB and 1st place panthers. i guess it could have been worse if the saints/falcons bounce back next year but as of now eagles face pretty much every team from this years playoffs:
the ONLY. the ONE and ONLY reason i dont see it working is because its nearly impossilble to get a hotel (or a cab!) close to the stadium during home games. ppl would have to travel a long way with all the extra ppl a super bowl brings.
pittsburg could barley handle a sunday night game i cant even imagine what a super bowl would look like. they would have to hire so many of those gipsy taxi drivers to handle the overflow.
speaking of pitt, paul n cory want to do another pittsburg trip this year. since i was not invited last year i would like to formally announce well in advance that i am in for this year so i dont hear the excuse "i didn't know you wanted to go."
its one thing to fire a coach after a year, i wasnt as outraged as a lot of other people were, but to fire your coach after 1 year AND then your GM after 1 year shows the owner doesnt know what the hell he is doing at this point. whats the long term plan? maybe joe banner wanted more control? one of the rumors in andy reids final few years was their was a power struggle between him vs banner and obviously reid won that one. hopefully he comes back on bill simmons podcask more often now!
EDIT: Wow banner was fired also. what the hell is this guy doing?

browns owner was a former minority steelers owner. look at this crazy stat:
Jimmy’s impatient, despite his tenure as a significant minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the NFL’s model of stability. But while the Steelers have had three coaches since 1969, Haslam has had three coaches since he bought the team.
his career ended when he dropped a 70 yard bomb in the AFCC game against the steelers at heinz field. he was boo'd off his home field and went into some kind of depression and missed time then got hurt
AP Photo/Carolyn KasterNFL commissioner Roger Goodell made $44.2 million in 2012.
Goodell earned $35.1 million in salary, bonus and pension compensation. Based on IRS reporting guidelines, his total 2012 compensation includes a $5 million incentive payment and a $4.1 million pension payment from the 2011 lockout year that was paid in 2012.
Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank said the compensation to Goodell "reflects the value of his leadership and the success of the NFL at the highest levels."
The league's revenues have approached $10 billion.
i use to like him a lot, but he seems to get hurt alot. never a good sign when you have an injury history and a losing team just flat out cuts you esp if you're still a young player. eagles tried this with kenny phillips and that didnt last 1 game. delmas is a big hitter but not sure how he is in coverage, kinda reminds me of laron landry when he played for the jets and was good for a 1-2 year deal but if they sign him for big money its a bad move. as PFT said it might be a ploy to get clark or polomula to take a pay cut.
The league's revenues have approached $10 billion.
getting back to this. i know the salary is obviously extremely high, but isn't it a fair number for someone who is the leader of a billion dollar company? what do you think other CEO's of fortune 500 companies make a year? plus its not like normal people are paying him, billionaire NFL owners are and they all think it's a fair price. i dont get the outrage over this.
i hope they cutt his ass. ravens offense is bad as it is and rice was their best player before last year. ravens are in some trouble -- no cap room, pitta, monroe, oher, terrence cody contracts up, traded picks for monroe. im loving this!

i dont think they can cut him, i think his cap # is higher than his salary or right around the same so it would be pointless.
also from the video it seems his girl is passed out cuz shes too drunk as oppose to her being knock out from a fight like the title suggests. dont u think he would be in more trouble if he knocked her unconcious and then dragged her around?
Running back 1. Carlos Hyde, Ohio State 2. Jeremy Hill, LSU 3. Bishop Sankey, Washington 4. Andre Williams, Boston College 5. Tre Mason, Auburn
this was most interesting to me. a little surprised he has mason at #5, if thats true hes gonna be a steal as a mid round pick. there is also a kid from Arizona who is really good, ka'deem carey, who is my sleeper. every time i saw him play he killed it.
i tend to agree she was just passed out drunk. if he knocked her out for that long in the elevator that would be attempted murder, brotha.
on the other hand, its really hard to get so drunk you are completly unconscious when walking around a hotel to the point you are getting dragged like a dead body. its also a VERY big coincidence that he was charged with assult the same night she was unconscious from alcohol
its prolly somewhere in the middle. maybe she was so drunk he got pissed off and went off on her for being white girl wasted.
as for mayock, i tend to agree with most of his assessments. its hard to judge similar RBs and auburn ran like 3 plays on offense. i think most ppl could get yards in that offense. to me there arent many surprises. im starting to really like calvin pryor and cant wait to see what khalil mack can do.
just as i was getting excited for khalil mack after Josh 1.0 had eagles getting him mayock is saying hes a top 5-10 player in this draft so hes not falling to the low 20's. mayock did say this draft is loaded and having a top 20 pick this year is like having a top 10 pick last year. still hoping eagles get one of those 2 safteys mayock had (pryor and HAHA), i def think that is where a lot of good value is for drafting a impact saftey
OTL is doing a special titled "The N Word" which is basically jason whitlock, wilbon, ryan clark, common, jameel hill and bob ley talking in circles about how its terrible and ok at the same time. bob ley is having a hard time haha.
With new deals for tackle Jason Peters, receiver Riley Cooper, and center Jason Kelce, the Eagles have entered into contracts with a combined base value in excess of $100 million, as explained by Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com. That amount includes more than $42 million in guaranteed money.
$100m is $100m whether you give it to a franchise QB or a LT, WR and C...
