AP wants the vikings to sign vick.  that would be interesting. def would help AP rush for more yards and maybe another 2k season but as far as winning games, idk how much he would help with his 2-3 turnovers per game and lack of wrs.

Cordarrelle and Greg Jennings? I'll take that combo. If Vick could stay healthy and they lean on AP and not put everything on Vick's shoulders. I agree, they're easily a playoff team.

patterson isnt much of a wr threat IMO, he had less than 500 yards last year.  maybe next year he will be, but as of now he is more a great kickoff returner n a big play guy with reverses or quick screens.  jennings is older and nowhere near the player he was in GB. i would say the easily have the worst wr's in the nfc north.

while i agree the vikings would probably be a good match for vick for a team looking for a qb (esp compared to other teams hes linked to such as the raiders, jags, jets etc) i dont think the vikings would be a playoff team with vick at all.  packers are still the best team in the division n bears/lions arent too far behind.  vicks #1 problem is obviously injury, but his next biggest problem is consistency.  he has games where he throws for 300 yards n 3 tds and then the next week he throws for 150 yards n 2 picks.  all that leads to is a 7-9/8-8 season.

if i were him, the best fit i would see is the texans.  they are 1 year removed from being a top 3 team in the afc and with foster/tate back along with andre johnson i could see the texans offense coming back in a big way n then drafting clowney #1 to sure up the d all while holding the fort with vick at qb and making a run at the playoffs in the weakest division in football.

tate aint coming back. fosters always banged up. AJ is getting old. texans WERE a good offense, looking forward Im not too high on them.

if the browns or raiders decide to draft sammy watkins vick would be good to follow him there. mcfaddens a FA but vick, mcfadden and watkins could be good. vick, watkins, josh gordon? even better *shutter*

i really like patterson. he was a slow developer so he didnt see the field much until the last few games but hes a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. i actually think its a good fit for a team, like you said the problem with making the playoffs is the division.

steelers are really doing it right this offseason.

Kept Worilds over LaMarshmellow. They have no intention of resigning Ryan Clark or Brett Keisel. The let Larry Foote go. Ike Taylor could be released any day now. Their best defensive players — Worilds, Heyward, Allen, Timmons, McClendon and Jones average about 26 years old.

Everyone points to Troy and says they refuse to get younger. No, they refuse to get worse to get younger in a sport where being younger doesnt score you a single extra point. Troy was a pro-bowler last season and they didnt give him any more money for 3 years than they would have for one.

Keep calling the Steelers old as they quietly and successfully rebuild by way of two 8-8 seasons. If thats rebuilding, I’ll take it.

*my direct comment for PFT*

based on steelers history, id say munnerlyn is their starting point on that list. of course talib or verner would be great but they never spend like that.

ive read reports of interest in verner, munnerlyn and carroll.

browner is another interesting one. hes suspended the first 4 but could be huge after that. im interested to see where he goes.

also, we need your full top-100 FA predicitions by 4PM tomorrow. I kid, but i wouldnt be surprised if you did it haha

haha impressive, guess your not hearing too much about the eagles? if thats the case, doesnt surprise me, they are no longer looking to make the big FA move after what happened in 2011.  funny how the skins have cap space again and you hear them in the market for big names such as byrd and talib.  snyder with cash is as scary as towson version joe fricione at an open bar on a saturday night.

what are the lions going to do?  kinda hard to pay someone $ when you know, the guy signing the checks is dead.

eh the lions will be fine, the dead dude has been just a figure head for a while now. His son has been in charge of the day-to-day operations for a long time already, business as usual.

I say he's dunzo, he seems like an incredibly articulate and intelligent guy. His heart wasn't in the game anymore, he said it himself, he's loaded and wants to see the world. I have a feeling he's gonna be fine for the rest of his life.

ricky williams 2.0.

im not sure mendenhall is a genius or a complete idiot. he did make some good points in his article but this is the same guy who believe in 9/11 conspiricy theories.

im not usually this wrong about players but man was I excited when they drafted him and sweed 1 and 2. mendenhalls career started going downhill when ray lewis broke his shoulder his rookie year then ended with his fumble in the super bowl down 3 in FG range

adam said 2 teams to watch for in the revis sweepstakes is philly and NE.  not sure how i feel about that, he seems to always be a pain in the ass when it comes to his contract and after the whole nnamdi situation not sure if paying a corner top $ is worth it

He's also now saying Browns and Raiders.

Both have the cap room to facilitate a trade.

Only problem with the Browns, if they trade for that contract how can they not give Joe Haden something similar (he's a free agent next year)

no team will trade for him when they know the bus are just gonna cut him.  i said yesterday to nick i thought the browns were the front runners cuz they have the cap space but more importantly his old DC on the jets is now the browns head coach. guess well see how this plays out.

whats going on with justin tuck, nyg resign him?

Snap Giants judgements

Re-Signing Trumaine McBride for 2 years 3m in this CB dominated off season is a fantastic move

Hillis at 900k a year is fine low risk move

Geoff Schwartz don't care how much, he's the best Guard on the market, it was a necessity

Rashad Jennings, not sexy but he can pass block and knows how to catch the ball, a win in my book.

O'Brien Schofield, dunno bout this one, people think this will turn out to be a steal and he'll lock down the SAM backer spot for a long while. I'll reserve judgement.

Remaining needs...

WR/KR/PR all in one hopefully. hope: Jacoby Jones

CB hope: Antonio Cromartie

C hope: EDS or De La Puenta

TE hope: Pettigrew

MLB hope: Beason

I'd be a real happy dude with those guys on top

like the move the eagles made, need to get a saftey and got a good but not great player in jenkins at a fair price.  ill take 3 years and 16 mil (only 8.5 guarneteed) over byrds deal of 6 years 54mil (28 guarneteed).  thats crazy to me, is byrd really 20mil better than jenkins?  i doubt it.  this also always us the flexibilty to still draft a saftey in the 1st round which is what i really want. other notes:

- i really want ware.  i can't believe the cowboys couldnt find a way to keep him and now they're screwed.  if hatcher leaves that will mean 2 of their best 3 players on d from last year are gone and that d was terrible (sean lee is the other and he gets hurt every single year so he can't be counted on either). with that said, i am glad he is off the cowboys but now the broncos are the front runners?  how the hell can they afford him plus talib??  that team will be stacked if they get him.

- OT's are getting paid crazy $.  austin howard could barley make the eagles roster a few years ago and now hes getting 4 mil guarneteed less than jason peters?? have fun with that raiders.

- revis to NE seems like an obvious fit, but he seems to be more concerned about $ more than any other player ive seen.  wonder if he is going to chose to go to a contender (pats) or who ever will pay him the most (browns?)

- interested to see where sproles gets traded to.  apparently 10 teams asked about him.

- not sure what the browns are doing.  is dansby and whitner really an upgrade over ward and jackson?

i always liked malcom jenkins. as of yesterday, ive loved mike mitchell. looks like ryan clark 2.0 but at 26.

looks like broncos are serious about ware. might be tough to get him out of denver today

not only howard but raiders let a solid LT go in veldheer (sp?) for a always injured at best RT who projects better at guard in saffold for MORE MONEY. smh

im sick of revis. yeah hes a great CB but when you have been traded then cut in two years maybe you should lower your price and be more of a leader/team player. his act is tired

still some good RBs on the block. sproles, blount, moreno etc. im so pissed i dropped montee ball week 15 last year. he could have been a good keeper if moreno leaves. sproles is a 31 year old situational player. he may have less wear on the tires but there are plenty of guys coming out (dri archer) who wont cost you a draft pick and less $$

i tried to lay out a plan for the browns to come away with vick, cj2k, gordon and watkins but they ignored me. instead they are swapping their two leading tacklers from last year for two older players at the same position. reaad that they will go after schaub or one of the other vet qbs because theyre not sold on any of the qbs at 4. obviously that could be a smoke screen but it is the browns.

today should be WR, CB and RBs. interested to see where decker, steve smith and eman go. the WR im most interested in is brandon la fell. 6'2 and has had some good games but shouldnt cost much.

so far the broncos are leading but the seahawks will swoop in at the end and win FA

-ya remember last year with seattle?  they did nothing the first few days and then all of a sudden they signed bennett to a small 1 year deal, chris avril to a good contract and then traded for harvin.  worked out well for them.

- as of now pats are hosting your boy la fell.

- for rbs browns are focused on tate which could be a good fit and im surprised brown went with SD yesterday.  he was clearly the best rb on the colts last year and now he is back in a 3 headed rotation with woodhead and ryan mathews.

- what do you think happened more over the past 48 hours: minutes adam schefter slept or stories he broke?

haha ouch:

Free agents Justin Tuck and LaMarr Woodley are visiting the Raiders Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie let his best offensive lineman (Jared Veldheer) walk, overpaid for Rodger Saffold, let reliable Rashad Jennings walk, let his best defender Lamarr Houston walk and re-signed injury-prone Darren McFadden. So how will he spend the rest of his money? Perhaps on two aging, declining edge rushers in search of a payday. Tuck, who will turn 31 later this month, looked done prior to his 9.5-sack outburst over the final six games of last year. Woodley, 29, has missed 14 games over the last three seasons.

i just can't comprehend what the Raiders are doing.

You have 50 mil in cap space and you let your above average LT and high end DE walk?

Then sign a constantly injured below average LT/above average guard to nearly 8mil per year.

AM I TAKING CRAZY PILLS?

was this a joke?  they're the super bowl favorites now.  plus they get von miller back at some point next year who missed the playoffs.

it was 1 bad game.  do u think if they had a rematch the following week seattle would be 30 point favorites?  id say the additions of ware, talib, ward and having miller and even ryan claudy back from injuries will make them the early pre season favorites.  plus you have to remember the nfc is going to be a lot hard to repeat in with san fran still being there, arizona got better, NO and philly prolly getting better.  who scares denver at all in the afc?

Fantastic news, only one or two more signings and I'll be completely happy.
