AJ green looks out for a few weeks so my old SB high school boy Mo Sanu is most likely the bengals #1 wr for the time being.

forster has sanu, do you think I should offer him andre Williams for him or hang onto Williams?

i dont get why you spent 40 for him just last week then turn around and sell him for freaking cecil shorts. no way that was the best return you could have gotten. and I carried shorts on my roster for 4 weeks while he battled injuries so its not like i dont like the guy.

I just don't see the value.

A)if he goes by draft value he's a $12 keeper next year.
B)If it's by waiver value he's an $80!!!! keeper
C)After this weekend he has no true value besides bench stash handcuff.

If you were desperate for a short term RB fill in he was a great grab, otherwise, not so much.

for starters, no i never wanted Williams.  i didn't think I was going to be able to get both Hillman and Williams last week but I did.  once I got Hillman, Williams was useless and trust me I tried trading him last week.  I wanted to do a Williams/Hopkins combo and get an upgrade at WR but nobody was biting.  once the philly game happened and he got like 50 yards his value dropped even more and with him on a bye after the dallas game plus Jennings coming back almost nobody would give me anything I could use for basically a 1 week play.

for this week I have maclin on a bye and 3 rb's going already (Hillman, foster, lacy) so Williams would have been on the bench again so yes shorts was the best option available esp considering the jags passing game is a hell of a lot better with bortyles and shorts gets the majority of the targets so I think he's a good 1 week fill in esp for a guy who would probably not play for my team.

obviously I over paid for Williams last week but in our league when a starting RB/#1 WR comes around you have to over pay.  the way I look at it, lets say I didn't get him last week and instead I just got shorts this week I still probably would of had to put 15-20 on him so I ended up losing like 20 waiver wire points overall. but lets be serious at this point in the year my team is set unless I have a major injury to maclin or Thomas and I doubt that anyone important is going to pop out of nowhere where I'm going to need the extra points, but we'll see if it costs me.

Possible block buster in my other league what you think?

I trade: Julio Jones & Rob Gronkowski (note Gronk would be a 3rd rd keeper nxt year, Julio a First)
I Get: Matt Forte & Michael Crabtree

My team would be:

Kaepernick
DeMarco
Forte
Eman
Kelvin
Crabtree
Gates
FLEX: Ingram/McKinnon/Crowell/Colston/ Doug Martin

What say you guys, I'm leaning yes...

adding $$ i dont have doesnt work either. wtf thats a pretty serious glitch that u cant order them. esp when i am trying to drop the same player for all 3.

haha im surprised dixon cleared waivers (although joe picked him up right after). i was pumped that the pats D was dropeed then I looked at their schedule...

Chi
Denver
Bye
Indy
Det
GB
San Diego

Forget fantasy, that is a brutal schedule for the team as a whole. they could lose every one of those games and come out of week 14 5-8... im sure it wont happen but man thats a brutal schedule.

ya it is.  not sure why your such a pats hater this year, I'm sure they will go closer to 4-2 in that stretch than 0-6 haha, I don't see brady and bill b going on a 6 game losing streak any time soon.

anyone want to get into dannys mind and take a guess on what he is doing?

his 2nd RB and even Flex spot is currently between:

Blount

Pierce

CJ Anderson

Shone Greene

and he currently has 53 points left (3rd most in the league) and with the chance to get a starting RB out of tre mason or Bryce brown he gets outbidded for both.

SMH and I thought he was the preseason favorite!

Funny thing is I approached him with a trade or two around Vereen/Fjax (after Vereen broke out against the jets and before Fjax got hurt) and was basically told that he would never have a Jet/Bill/Pat on his team.

haha that's pretty funny esp considering out of all the true fans we have in our league I view him as the least die hard.  don't get me wrong I know he loves the dolphins but I remember in college I would go to batemens to watch the eagles whenever they weren't on tv or basically do whatever I could and I know he never moved from his room unless the phins were on national tv.  maybe that has changed since he is living on his own and has the ticket now but I doubt it.

that was my thinking too. he is either getting really pissed cause hes getting outbid or just is ok with his current RB situation for some reason.

injuries suck. but calvin johnson is a known injury risk and having 4 players from the same team just doesnt work. yeah his RECEIVERS looked good during the preaseason but i think guys like golden tate and steve smith are doing just fine

I texted him and he said he didn't bid for either of them because they both aren't starters and he was fine with legarrt blount who had 20+ points a few times this year.

he might be right about bryce brown with Dixon there (although he probably will eventually start) but I don't see how he can say mason isn't a starting rb with him getting almost 20 carries last week and stacy/Cunningham barley touching the ball.

also, the whole start a backup who might get lucky and have a huge game might work for a WR or someone in your flex spot, but you can't do that for your #2 rb.  its way too risky and a majority of the time those RB's put up les than 3 points.

umm what is legarette blount? he had 17 points ONCE and his next highest was 6.... he never broke 20

i get his point but you pick these guys up as speculative adds and hope they work out. once they do you start them. if my RB situation was that of dannys my entire bench would be full of high-upside guys like mason. its not like this is a new problem thou. he could have mckinnon or hillman or even his love child moreno was on the ww at one point.

speaking of RBs, mason in particular. it was around this time last year that i picked up zac stacy simply because he was getting the start that week. high-upside one week starter. look how that turned out for me...

"Blount has gone over 20 twice this year"

direct text from danny.

and I agree which is why I went HAM on Hillman and Williams a few weeks ago.  went 1-2 with a strike out and a home run

you know whats also hilarious now that i think about it. i offered him crowell for his backup defense and he turned me down. that week against pitt crowell scored 12 points.

i was nervous about letting crowell go cause of his potential esp if tate gets hurt. its a freaking backup defense. glad that didnt happen

Came to me and I gladly accepted... On that note I need an RB2 now, I have excessive WRs and would like to move one or two for a reliable decent back.

its funny he went from offering me calvin Johnson and juluis for demayrus and delaine walker which I was so close to taking but was scared off because I'm in 1st place and would be killing myself if I did this trade and it back fired and I screwed my season.  if I were in 3rd or 4th place, then I most likely would have taken his offer but a few other factors other than the obvious calvin injury risk, here were some other factors for why I said no:

- calvin might not play this week then has a bye next week where Thomas had his bye already so that is 2 potential games I would miss out on

- juluis Thomas is killing points wise in fantasy but that is only cuz of td's, yardage wise he hasn't broken 70 yards since week 1.  if the td's stop is he really that much different than what I have in allen/walker?  I say (hopefully) no.

- I really don't wanna wake up at 9am on sunday to see if calvin is active or not haha

with that said, josh u got the better in this deal IMO.  olson and juluis are closer than people think but you upgraded there and then I would much rather have Jeffrey over veeren esp since you never know what you are going to get out of a pats rb from week to week.

Bored tonight, figured I'd come to see Josh's excitement from his trade. Pats D blows, 3 points vs the jets, mayo and jones out. Seattle is pretty ****ty too. Really just curious to wonder if Danny will break the 45 point barrier again.

haha nice to see joe still checks up on us.

danny is in a little trouble but should be ok once calvin and aj come back which should be soon.  his strategy of having a ton of bengals and no RB depth is what will kill him.  unless its the broncos you can't consistently win in fantasy if your playing 3-4 guys on the same team.

last nights game pissed me off.  Hillman had 2 tds called back (well really one but the other one he stepped out on the 3 which was very close) and had another 2 potential tds at the 1 go to a friggin vulture fullback.  still had a good game but coulda been better.  demayrus Thomas also had a decent game but no tds and was tackled at the 1-2 yard line at least once.  novack also had his worst fantasy game of the year with 3 points.  that game had so much potential and it was disappointing to get less than 25 points out of those 3, luckily I am playing paul who is in last place so hopefully I can still put it out.

time to start bragging.  no not about me being in 1st place, about what I enjoy more, fish/nick arguments.  nick swore his keeper options going into the draft where much better than mine so lets reflect now that the fantasy season is halfway over:

3. Zach Stacey: 257 yards 1 TD (BUST)

2. Alshon Jeffrey 563 yards 3 tds (8 games) 16th highest fantasy WR points wise

1. Jermey Maclin 632 yards 6 tds (7 games) 5th highest fantasy WR

now you did redeem yourself by taking advantage of danny and trading for bell but I think its time to acknowledge you were wrong about maclin. he is currently on pace for 1,444 yards and 13 tds and I was trying to bet you a good amount of money he would exceed 1,300 yards which it looks like he will easily do. I will accept your apology via this forum or even a text.

never! my keeper is the #4 RB in fantasy and as you agreed last night "RB > Everything"

ipo facto: Bell > Maclin

while I might have slightly underestimated maclin coming off a serious knee injury, this belongs in the NFL Talk thread ;)

I like being loaded at RB.  if you think ingram is a one hit wonder and not consistent then def make that trade.  if you think you will start him every week I would stick would ingram

you just cant sit still can you haha. im really not a good person to ask trade questions esp when i have the player on my own team cause rarely do i make a trade. also, RBs get higher grades in my book from the start.

that being said, you currently have 4 good RBs on your roster so if you believe the value is there its not a bad deal as long as no one gets hurt.

personally I wouldnt, but if you are willing to bet the health of your 3 starters go for it.

am I missing something?  joe put up 10 points for a guy who's a rookie and hasn't played yet (sims), josh you went hard at Lorenzo who is good but also still a backup, and kearns got a full back for 5 points all while I was somehow able to get grey for 0? the guy had 18 carries last week and clearly took over ridley's role.
