-27 points for moncrief? I get he had a good game, but isn't he the 3rd or maybe 4th wr?? you got TY, Andre, the rookie and then moncrief battling for the 3rd spot right?
tough to find quality ww pickups this year, ay? i think crabtree was the best of the bunch (maybe starks depending on lacy) but it was slim pickens again this week.
yeah it wasn't a good week, surprising for early in the year I feel like in years past there are some good players available but I guess in our league those guys get picked up and stashed away super early like matt jones or even dion lewis, etc.
with that said, 21 points for james starks? I'm pretty sure lacy is still scheduled to play this week. come on braj, haven't you learned from over spending on guys like luck and tannehill?
My 2 cents: AP is 100% TD dependent in DK, if he doesn't score he's worthless basically. Those 2 catches he gets in a game doesn't really help.... Cheap option that puts up monster numbers: Danny Woodhead
Bell always a solid play
love the WR's
Giants have sneakily held opposing RBs to 3.0ypc just food for thought/
Nick Foles $5200
Jamaal Charles $7400
Latavius Murray $5800
Larry Fitzgerald $5800
Brandon Marshall $6200
Allen Robinson $5200
Rob Gronkowski $7400
David Johnson $4000
Broncos $3000
Tom Brady $7700
Chris Ivory $5000
Dion Lewis $4200
Julian Edelman $7000
Larry Fitzgerald $5200
Rishard Mathews $3800 (SLEEPER!)
Rob Gronkowski $7400
Latavius Murray $5800
Jets $3000
seems like gronk is an obvious choice. I think I like my second team better in a PPR format. much different but still learning. will likely do a 3rd with a balance between RB/WR.
QB Marcus Mariota $6100 RB Devonta Freeman $4600 RB Danny Woodhead $4400 WR Antonio Brown $8900 WR Julian Edelman $7000 WR Julio Jones $9000 TE Eric Ebron $3300 FLEX ********* (suuuper sleeper im not willing to disclose as i have been considering picking him up in our league for some time) DST Redskins $2700
Another bit of advice, don't be afraid to leave some of your budget on the table, don't go out of your way to spend every last dollar if it doesn't fit what you want to do
my fantasy team absolutely blows right now SMH, prolly the worst team ive had in years. I knew i was in trouble when i didnt come away with any big time RB's in the draft, but the problem is Bradford is freaking screwing me right now. I obv expected him to play a lot better in chips system and I would have been at least 2-1 if he played like foles or sanchez did last year. luckily I had the steal of the post-draft waiver wire with dion lewis but for week 4 I am super thin at RB since sankey and dion lewis are both on byes this week. I'm not sure gurley is ready yet but I might not have any choice other than to play him and I still need to fill 1 more spot.
my team is underperforming as well, mostly because i cant get them all on the damn field at the same time. first bell, then murray now gates smh. playing against 117 pts 2 weeks in a row didnt help either. a game against 0-3 kearns is just what the doctor ordered.
i would consider a trade with you but the only player i got that can help you this week is crowell. blount is on bye and coleman still banged up.
SMH nick, you beat me out for david carr. I'm pretty sure I put in 15 points and you got him for 17, you probably need him more this week than I do but still . I actually drafted him and was planning on stashing him for Bradford's bye week/potential injury replacement but once I realized how bad my RB situation was I had to cut him before the season. I ended up getting dion lewis out of it so its not all bad but with Bradford being terrible fantasy wise I wanted carr back and didn't think he would go for that much.
now I just need to fix my RB's, anyone want calvin Johnson??
i thought id get flamed for putting in for 17 but him. mariota has worked out pretty well but i think carr is, and will be, the better NFL qb.
this is the year of the WR and pass catching RB. everyones got plenty of them. not enough good RBs to go around, its a craphoot every week and the problem is most of the ones that even have a chance of blowing up are already rostered. guys like lewis and joseph randle and devonte freemon smh what has football become?
yeah, that's been my problem, I have guys I'm willing to trade like Hopkins/calvin, but I can't even figure out which RB i would even want and who would I get equal value back for them? I'm not gonna get a top flight guy like Jamal Charles or AP and too many other injury risks for a lesser guy like lesean McCoy or murray if I even wanted them.
not a good year for your boy commish fish, NEED Bradford to step up which was what I was banking on with him and my 3 stud wr and then play RB roulette.
I feel gross spending what I did on Lance Dunbar, ugh.... if my RBs could even start averaging me 8 or so points a week I'd be ****ing set, but no they have to be *******s
hahaha yeah i feel the same way about murray and crowell right now. especially croweell... that ****er averages me 3.3 points every time i trust him, then the one game i sit him he goes for 14.
gotta admit, your RBs looked freaking stacked at the beginning of the year, but anderson and forsett (and to a certain extent shady) have underperformed. i wasnt big on CJ preseason but liked forsett and shady alot.
going into the draft i hated forsett and stayed far away because i thought he was a 1 hit wonder last year who had gary kubiack as his OC who always has a RB put up big numbers in his system. so for those reasons I thought CJ Anderson was going to have a big year and I was really high on him so to be he is the biggest disappointment and I am shocked he is having such a bad start. you would think he would have built on being a starter for a year along with kubiakcs system and having peyton as his qb he would be putting up huge numbers but that just has not been the case. I guess teams have been loading up to stop the run and daring manning to throw on them but other than that I have no idea why he is struggling so bad.
nick, thanks again for stealing carr away from me. the only thing better than not having a backup on a potential very short notice game change is having a struggling QB during a potential HURRICANE! can't wait to see what his stats look like this week
a TON of ppl did it to. makes no sense to me. just want to see a large amount of $$ next to your name for a few days i guess. no way they can expect to win anything that way.
yeah apparently DK ppl are taking insider info and playing over at fan duel (and prolly visa versa). annoying, but its still a game and injury reports are public so not sure exactly what advantage theyre gaining.
if thye were changing lineups on monday night that would be a whole nother story.
WHat they're exchanging is the player usage rates, it'll allow them to identify undervalued/underused players and use them to their benefit, it's pretty massive if you think about it
josh, solid pickup on barnidge, I was going to pick him up if I didn't get nicks boy crockett gillmore but I didn't need 3 TE's and thought gillmore was going to get more targets esp with steve smith out.
nick, do you want to help your boy danny out with this waiver wire points system, 10 points for jay cutler? I bet he could have gotten him for 3 or less and this is coming off a week or 2 ago when he picked up benny Cunningham for 10 points only to drop him before the week started. in the end this probably won't hurt him but I don't think he understands the concept of value much going back to the keeper portion when he kept shane verren for $12 when he probably could have gotten him in the draft for $1.
looks good josh. i liked ingram a lot before last season then soured on him as i watched him play after i drafted him. hes just not a great athlete, too stiff.
im a big moncrief fan but if luck and TY get healthy there isnt a much better tandem. woodhead is a very good, hard worker.
as for danny, true, he could have gotten a 1 week replacement much cheaper but his team is actually stacked and hes in 3rd place so maybe we could learn a thing or 2 from him?
his FA pickups havent been good but he cant even get tavon austin or marty bryant onto the field with that group or WRs
