ummmmm 83-27 so $56. possible winning ... ~$550,000
josh how many teams is that? i am only in the $3 and $5 games. any good high roller games to get in?
the worst is when you start someone like moncrief or fleener on a thursday and have to kiss your chances of winning anything substantial with that team goodbye
gonna be an interesting game for me tonight. I do an office pool every week and I won 2 weeks in a row and tied going into tonight's game for victory #3. I need the steelers to win tonight (or cover -3) and I win, anything else and I lose. but then in fantasy, I have the complete opposite scenario in order to win because I am up 54 points on nick but you have bell and AB still going. what do I do??
- giving blake bortyles a try nick? how much of your pool have you spent on backup qbs thus far? I know you got mariotta, romo, carr and now bortyles, just trade for big ben and get it over with!
- 80 points for West?!? I put up like 30 haha, wasn't even close. is he even the full time starter and what happened to knile davis? watching andy reid coached football teams for over 10 years, if he doesn't have a starting RB he is going to rotate his backs heavily and pass even more. will be interesting to see how this guy plays and if he was worth using basically every waiver wire points 5 weeks into the year.
- I was thinking about getting tyrod taylor, you guys realize he has the 4th most points for a qb? but that was until he got hurt and then realized him and Bradford have the same bye week so that made no sense.
cowboys are also considering switching from randel to Michael. I see josh had his alarm set for 6am today and already picked him up haha. looks like the cowboys are getting tired of randel, I thought any RB can run behind that line??? interesting to see how Michael does, I think he has about 10 yards this season but he has talent.
dont like any of them honestly. steelers have a very good run D, denver has a great D overall and that dude Csomething West came out of nowhere to win the cheifs job apparently.
as much as it pains me I'd prolly say d johnson becuase i think hes the best fantasy back of the 3. i say that with no confidence thou ;)
in Nevda yes, it's actually already illegal in Montana and Iowa, seems more might follow suit... though Nevada HAS to be tougher then any other state (other then Jersey maybe) due to the high profile nature of their gambling industry... they need to seem like they're on the up and up.
its a state-by-state law. some states cant play now including nevada, which makes sense. even if DFS does survive the FBI investigation and resistance from the gambling commission, the government is gonna start taxing it out the ass.
play now while you can. pretty soon its going to either not be worth the bet of playing because winnings are deflated, or gone entirely. my friend at the gym whos a lawyer says he cant believe it lasted this long.
but its easy to see why its getting so much attention, which they brought on themselves thanks to greed. if they werent running ads every-other commercial, and sponsored some of the biggest names in sports including the NFL, they likely would have been left alone to quietly do their thing. instead they tried to maximize profits and when you make that much money its only a matter of time before uncle same comes knocking.
or maybe they realized that and put all their eggs into one quick hit, make as much possible before were inevitably shut down, basket.
so pumped I decided crocket Gilmore was the better investment than barnidge! oh wait, I feel the exact opposite!
Browns TE Gary Barnidge scored twice Sunday and has TDs in four straight games. He also has a streak of four consecutive games with at least 13 fantasy points, the longest by a TE since Jimmy Graham in 2013.
umm originally put 100 in, then did a side bet with my cousin last minute last week for $25. so 125 in, $547 when i came into work this morning, withdrew 450.
completely forgot to do waiver wire pick ups last night SMH, def not my season. I see danny went all in on james starks for another 35 points. is lacy not starting anymore or is danny just tired of having extra $ to spend?
man im having a hard time getting excited for fantasy this year as well. maybe its cause my team is assembled of the 10 most under performing players in the league? ben being hurt really killed my steelers duo, murray getting better but still not putting up $70 numbers, alex smith doesnt throw more than 3 yards downfield, at least gates was a shot in the arm.
im all in on draft kings, especially after last week. which probably isnt a good thing considering i lose money in real time (althugh my winnings from last week hit my bank acct this morning).
as for starks i think lacy is just having a (another?) bad year. that team is beat up too. wouldnt have spent 35 on him but theres not much left on the ww at this point. i love the steelers D pickup, those guys are putting up 10-16 points a week.
just made a big trade. not 100% happy with it, but if its a fair trade so that's hwo it should be, but I think its a fair one and one that will help my team. the trade was with fricione and it was:
I get:
Big Ben, Travis Kelce and Ryan Mathews
He gets:
Calvin Johnson, Dion Lewis, Crocket Gilmore
I did it because Bradford has been killing me so I think getting big ben who will probably be a top 3-5 qb which will help me get consistent production there. and my TE spot has also been killing me as well, you have no idea how pissed I am at myself for picking Gilmore ahead of gary barnide when I had the chance. and ryan Mathews could end up being huge for me if chip either comes to his sense and gives him the ball more (which I expect to happen after the bye week) or if murray gets hurt. he has top 5 potential if he becomes the full time starter.
didn't like giving up dion lewis who has been solid for me, but with him being injured and never being able to fully trust BB with his RB's I had to make the move. now with a big time QB in big ben, todd gurley, and then Hopkins/AJ/Kelce I think I finally have a solid team to make a run. still have a bunch of waiver wire points that I'm waiting to use on another RB down the line!

can we pleaseeeee either end keepers or get rid of the RES spot next year? its smart, but ridiculous, that some of the best players are already off the market for $2 (benjamin, nelson) because people can stash them in that spot with no consequence.
yeah Danny is way off on that one, we voted a long time ago that Arian will have to be kept based upon draft value.
RES has to go, or a rule has to be implemented that basically you can't keep guys stashed in the RES from the draft. Either way it's ridiculous and violates the entire spirit of the league....
ok i'll send out an email by thursday. i'm still off work today so i'll be back 2mrw and have to deal with prolly 500 emails to catch up on.
a lot of action gonna happen on the waiver wire this week starting with deangelo obviously. i also see why i hate trading so much, i feel like if i make a big trade like i did last week and see big ben pull a sam bradford and dion lewis go off i immediately hate myself. at least if i dont make a move i cant feel bad about it haha. with that said, i still think the trade will help me out in the long run and it did help me get to the highest point total of my season only it didnt pay off cuz eli and obd had ridiculous games and josh had prolly the best game of the season SMH. still only 1 game out of the playoff race with 5 to play!
i also love how out of all the big time RB's that went for big $ in the auction look almost useless now, how many ended up being worth it half way through the season? other than AP and gurely, who would be next on that list? freemon went for how much? dion lewis i got the day of the season for nothing, the cheifs rb west was a waiver add, etc. i guess that's why bradford is pissing me off so much, i had/have a solid team if i only had a qb who could get me 20-25 points every week like most top QB's but instead i had to make a move to upgrade there. it looks like the waiver wire $ might be more valuable then we thought!
I personally hate the RES spot all around. If you wanna draft a Marty Bryant, you should have to eat up a roster spot, not be rewarded with a stud player during the season. I think you'll have to put it up to a vote since some D Bag started the trend by drafting Maclin for a dollar and keeping him two years straight.
My pretty loaded team pooped in their big boy pants. I'm having nightmares of trading Dion Lewis right away, now with Forte hurt. I think the only thing this year less valuable than 1st round running backs are QBS. Luck and Rodgers aren't outscoring the likes of Cousins and Geno Smith.
the RBs have been a HUGE disappointment, but no one other than freeman and gurley have been anywhere near consistent enough to be dominant. most of the guys in the top 10-15 are there because of a few big games and others have been complete duds. danny woodhead? chris johnson? sheesh. i will say that ive grown to LOVE chris ivory as a player this year. didnt even have him on my radar before the season but hes been great to watch (also has games of 0, 4 and 6).
still some time to go. my team looks weak right now but no one cares enough to listen to me complain (cough fish).
AFter a depressing start I've fallen in love with my team, depth everywhere. DEEP RB's now with LeSean/Forsett/Dion/CJ Anderson/and CMike getting the nod once DMC eventually gets hurt (you know it's happening).... After that a WR corps of Odell, Larry, Hurns, and LaFell rounding out, gotta like what I have.... Just need Eli to not put up anymore 6-8 points stinkers.
I'm not happy with my team right now. I was ok with it pre-trade but it wasn't producing so I felt I needed to make a big move and upgrade at QB/TE which I did but I had to give up dion lewis to do that. i thought he would miss a few more games esp on a short week last week and i would be able to pick up a waiver wire RB but frigging kearns beat me out for deaneglo. if i had him i would have been pumped but i guess kearns is too embarrassed about being in last for a 2nd straight year SMH. looking back I wish I didn't add lewis to the trade but what can you do. if big ben starts playing like big ben again or ryan Matthews becomes the full time starter I could bounce back and sneak into the playoffs but I'm not counting on it. if Bradford murders the eagles season AND my fantasy year he might become my least favorite player of all time ahead of TO.
nobodys team is rock solid. even forster whos 7-1 is only 6th in total points scored. been a weird year lets see what happens.
ben will bounce back but i think bell being hurt hurts his value more than it helps. not only the running threat but bell is a great pass catcher and pass blocker. ugh. im much more butthurt for the steelers than for my fantasy team.
I'm sure you guys saw dion lewis is out for the year. sucks, he was playing well and u hate seeing guys who finally get a big break on the right team suffer such a bad injury.
with that said, should I feel guilty for feeling good that I traded him 2 weeks ago??
good of course! but, you also received Ben who is now out a few weeks so id say the trade was a wash in the injury dept, except that u gave up megatron as well. who else did u get back again?
josh ended up on the bad end of the dion lewis sign and trade. also lost shady and cj anderson was banged up but i think he came back. sorry dude.
not sure that those guys finishing the game was enough to overcome AB/demarco/blount (who benefits most from the lewis injury), putting up 110 with gates and langford still to go. my team may just be coming around and peaking at the right time. guess well see.
i got travis kelce and ryan Matthews along with big ben. as long as ben only misses one game I think I "won" that trade but its very close to being a wash with all these injuries. with that said, still prolly not enough to help me out since I have no true 2nd RB and I'm 2-3 games out. not my year for fantasy.
luck out 2-6 weeks. obviously injuries happen, but does brajers $50 bid for him go down as the worst auction move in our history? we said the day after the draft it was a horrible move just from a money to QB standpoint, and now production wise it looks even worse!
