Nick, when you wanna start planning this bad boy?  As I said the other day my goal would be to leave Wends/Thursday May 24th/25th and come back the following Monday or Tuesday with Monday being Memorial day.  A few questions for you:

1. Are you open to other resorts or should we stick to Marriott since I would think you will get a pretty good discount on them.  If you are open to other places, have you heard of this:

2. Does the possibility of the zika virus scare you at all?  I know when me and allie went to puna cana people were asking me about that but in the area we were in there were no mosquitoes but I think aruba is different.  me and allie aren't expecting to have kids any time soon so it probably wont effect us at all, but let me know if you or DD have any potential concerns about that.

Nick, I had a travel advisor, I mean Cathy, look into some potential places for us for aruba, any of these interest you?  You stayed at one of these places when we went back in college so you should be familiar with that but me and allie really liked #4 which is an all inclusive.  I guess it really comes down to if you get a Marriott discount or not and how much.  Allie really doesn't want to stay at a place with a bunch of kids running around, but if the discount is significant then she will suck it up.  Let me know what you think of these places and if you would like to add any input to this since we want to go end of May and it is creeping up on us:

 

 

1. Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort 

 

    • $345 a night -  They are booked on line, you would have to call directly

so Danielle and I looked at these yesterday and i think the thing we forgot was airfare. not sure if you remember or not but the aruba resorts are very far from the airport which was extremely small. the plane tix prices are crazy. dd was looking for a good deal today so i guess she will keep us posted but she also had some alternatives thats shes gonna send out.

it being mdw doesnt help either

yeah she said they were like $1,100 and it would have took about 18 hours to get there or something crazy like that.  obviously that wont work but I'm down for whatever, just let me know of some other places you would want to go to.  as long as there is a pool (or beach) and maybe do a day trip or 2 for an excursion me and allie are good with it!

Not sure how you guys feel about the all inclusive thing, but Dana and I did Hard Rock Punta Cana last year and had a ****ing blast. Pools, beach, all you can eat and drink top shelf liquors, excursions etc etc. 2 thumbs up from me.

yeah me and allie did the same thing in Punta but at a different resort.  we both loved it as well, the food was great and it was good not having to worry about alcohol bills the entire time

danielle was looking at all inclusives last night. we did one in jamacia last feb and had an awesome time as well
